Already really sick of crutches
Been there. I said fuck the crutches and used a walker for about a week. Then said fuck that and rented a rolling knee crutch. It was very similar to the one below. Insurance wouldn't cover the rental but it was the best $100 I spent. I used it for about 3 1/2 weeks before I received my walking boot.

I seriously considered buying one, these crutches SUCK.

I swear, once you lose the use of a leg/foot, you realize very quickly how many places are not set up to accommodate the handicapped be it normal entry, restrooms, etc.

Fingers crossed, I'm hoping to be officially out of my boot come Tuesday.

That's cool. If I remember correctly, it was achilles tendon, right? When you received your boot, did they give you the peel away heel? When they gave me mine, it was two heels that had a 6% grade. I had to leave them in for five days. Then every two days I had to peel one layer away (2%) until they were gone.

I'm in my boot now for my Achilles

I've got 2 peel away heels....

Still no walking for a couple months

Bought a knee scooter...pretty ridiculous but so much better than crutches

Going back to the office tomorrow , been off or working from home last 3 weeks. Friends and family have been a great help thank God...seeing mike Gordon at a ga event in 2 weeks will be interesting

Good luck, man!

As for the show, call ahead and ask about handicapped seating options at the venue. I did so for the Sturgill Simpson make up show down here and they marched me, my lady and my buddy through the backstage area and parked our asses front row in a cordoned off handicapped area. We had a blast!

Shitty injuries you currently have or have experienced before

Welp, had my follow up appointment for my broken ankle today...I'm now in an ankle brace for another 4 weeks which is 1 week shy of our trip to San Diego...talk about cutting it close, yeesh. I will say this though, the doctor has been extremely thorough...I was fully expecting to be out of footgear today and was somewhat trepidatious cuz I didn't feel as though it was structurally sound enough to do so. This is legit gonna end up being a 3.5 month rehab.

Agreed man, in my heart of hearts I didn't feel like the stability was there. After wearing the brace for the past few hours, it's clear this was the next logical step in the rehab process.

So, I'm currently in the hospital. Apparently I had a stroke last night. It seems to have been mild and it looks like I'll recover fine, but I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't scared shitless right now.

Im about to get my 2nd injection into my right SI joint. My L4 and L5 are both herniated and I've had back issues for the last 2 years. Constant tingling, numbness, pain, ect... Have tried rehab, shots, ect... just nothing seems to fix it. For a 30 year old I have the back of someone in their 60s.

Holy fuck dude. I know you really liked Bizmarck, but no need to stroke out over it. It's not that good!

Be well. Hopefully you're out of there soon and everything's perfectly fine.

Wow, I don't usually read this thread but just happened to click on it today. That's really scary. I hope you recover quickly!

I think you're pretty young, or at least younger than me. Do they have any idea what caused it?

It's not the kind caused by a blockage, it's the kind caused by a ruptured blood vessel, so one of the vessels in my brain is leaking and causing mainly muscle weakness and loss of sensation in my left side. I just found out that my last scan showed that I don't have an aneurysm, so unless things don't improve in the next couple of days, I shouldn't need surgery.
