So I should like it because everyone else does?

Is that why you also got into DMB?

Josh you should know by now that Facebook is always going to be a barrage of whatever is trendy or in the news at the moment. Are you really surprised? The obsession with Stat Wats is just like anything else..like DMB or beanie babies or whatever the hell, there are people that love stuff and worship it and other people just will never understand it. Let people be. If seeing that stuff really bothers you, you probably shouldn't use Facebook regularly. I agree with you that it's annoying, but it's just what it is.

There are few things more satisfying than this: A capacity crowd. "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away..." Anticipatory silence. John Williams signature opening score. Star Wars: The Force Awakens title card. Crowd erupts. Grin from ear to ear.

Didn't expect to see the movie tonight.

Walked up to the box office thinking for sure it'd be sold out, got into the 7:50 showing.

This.

Not that this is 'serious business' but it didn't seem like the characters really believed in what they were doing, and instead we're trying to make the audience laugh a bit too often. Didn't seem like there was a lot of urgency to the whole situation.

And how many times are we going to get a different take on a 'trench run'? Seemed more like a remake to of Episode IV to me, just with new characters along for the ride 30 years later.

I enjoyed it though.

Umm....if you haven't seen it, it's a really fun and well done movie.

My take:

Spoiler:

And to all that have and are picking it apart - Shame on you. It was fucking awesome!

This movie blends the old with the new so well. From a tech stand point, it still had digital effects, but most of the action was live like the original three. This should make everyone happy. Then, you have the new generation of characters (even a droid) that I thought they developed quite well with new ways to use the force.

I loved all the witty banter throughout the movie and thought it was another way to have that old feel from the original three.....I mean, that's one of the reasons everyone liked Hans Solo, so why can't it be done here too?

It's been 10 years since the last one and thought, overall, they really hit it out of the park for bringing people back to the story.

$120.5M for opening day (including Thursday previews). There's a chance it could make over $250M for the weekend. This one is breaking all of the records.

I hear Daniel Craig has a cameo but didn't want to read the article because they said it had spoilers. For those who have seen the movie, could you tell it was Daniel Craig?
