Oh btw they also have a pretty good little 6-song iTunes session out.

Surprisingly good spread of their songs. Couple of unreleased tunes as well...

Enjoyed seeing these guys last night.

To me this is one of those one and done bands. They are great live, bring all the energy set forth on their records, if not more, and have a good song spread of stuff from their catalogue. They [probably] don't mix things up too much though, so you only need to see them once.

Vampire Weekend's secret weapon just quit the band 'My identity as a songwriter and producer... needs to stand on its own'

Sucks, but you could kinda see this coming.

Saw that earlier, bummer. At least he will still be collaborating with Ezra in the future.

My wife got me into these guys when we first started dating. We've been dying for them to go on tour, seeing them in May and we're both pretty excited about it.
Went back to listen to S/T and Contra again and thought of this thread. Saw this post and it made me sad, we actually ended up not making it to the show and of course after that they dropped off the face of the earth...

That being said it sounds like fourth album is coming soon? Should be interesting.

Supposedly LP4 is basically finished. I was pretty nervous about what they were going to sound like without Rostam, but I have to say that I definitely feel better after listening to his solo album, which was surprisingly disappointing.

Also, Modern Vampires of the City is still the best album released this decade.
