Give it a listen ASAP. The tape is really good.

I actually donít completely disagree with that about the tour overall. Most of the shows were high quality, but itís at least partially due to the fact that a lot of them were very similar to each other. That said, there were a few very noteworthy standouts, and this is arguably the best of the tour.

For being the Xmas release, it's missing the "Encore Trax" bonus disc and/or video as well.

Total speculation, but maybe the delay with the Hollywood Bowl vinyl release impacted the original choice for LT50, which would of had a Blu Ray/Encore Trax. So now they bumped up the release for Hershey since they already had this one ready to go.

Side note: I just told my wife about this release and she just looks at me with a blank stare like "I thought we were over this shit...."

Nope! Then I look at her and as if acting like I'm talking about wine, say - "2004 is one of my favorite years."

This "doesn't feel like it should be live trax 50" because it probably should have been Live Trax 2 instead of Golden Gate Park

Man. Jeff P went to this show. I remember chatting with him about prelude.
Good choice of a show.

Good choice. I agree I was looking for something I guess a little more classic for their 50th release but this is hardly a bad pick and one I'll most likely pick up.
