Best 3.0 Song. Round 2 (CHOOSE WORST ON LIST)

Ok Round 2. So Break For It and Alligator Pie were officially eliminated. I also replaced DYR with Virigina In The Rain because DYR is technically a 4.0 song in my mind. The Riff gets my vote for this round. I really don't like the song, and it doesn't even come close to stacking up against the rest on this list. Easy one for me.

Agreed. Though that may just be because I overplayed it waiting for Big Whiskey to drop.

I picked the Riff. It feels very unfinished to me. Some nice lyrics in there, but a lot of meh too.

Funny is the next to go for me.

I wanna day FTWII is the corniest song on the lost but not the worst. I do enjoy it live, which is more than I can say about The Riff.

I really like the studio version of The Riff. Very solid material. Also enjoy it D&T.

I'd put it above FTWII and Write A Song.

Yeah, the Riff is ok. I think Write A Song is worst on this list.

Those are my bottom 2 right now. Never got the love for Write a Song, I think it's cheesier than Spotlight and hokier than Build You A House.

Funny is a great song live and they continue to evolve it. Riff is stale and terrible live.

Interesting take considering its only been played live full band 39 times over 3 tours. If they played it a little more I bet it could evolve the way Funny has, which was been played 254 times over 11 tours.

Do DMB songs even really evolve anymore - aside from figuring out who should solo to replace BT? They haven't done a thing to YMDT in like 10 years. Jimi Thing finally got a new outro I guess.

In fairness, I don't listen as intently as I used to.... because it's the same shit night in night out.

I guess The Last Stop evolved. But that doesn't count because they chopped up the best part of the song.

I only like one of those and you're right Tim does a lot to She now. I was thinking more about older songs. Every summer there used to be little changes to even the classic tunes but I feel like those are all basically played the same way now.

I've never even listened to a full Come on, Come on. Studio or live. Dreadful piece of songwriting.

41 has been messed with the past few years, although I think it's been relatively the same since 2016, don't know if they've kept that outro they did that year or not, haven't caught 41 at a show since then actually, surprisingly enough. Two Step they brought in that higher ground ending a few times, but yeah for the most part the older songs haven't evolved in a long time, much longer than they used to.

I will never understand the hatred for The Riff. Especially in comparison to 90% of the garbage this band has released since 2005. I guess i just hear it totally differently. Shrug. Not calling it an all time great or something, but hey. One of the few studio recordings of late i really want to go back to and listen on headphones.
