Oh that's absolutely true, but that's a different conversation entirely. I voted in the local election yesterday, really only wanted one guy on our county council, but being that his name is Anup Patel and my county voted more red than the color of the sun with my eyes closed (DMBc what I did there?) in 2016, he lost.

Have voted almost everyday for DMB on Google. It really takes less than 30 seconds.

Holy shit, you have both a mayor AND a governor with actual brain function now? A whole new world...

DMB is in first by 20,000 votes. They'll be up a 100K by the end of this thing

Wonder what the "record" is. You know DMBFam is going for it.

I looked it up:

2018: Def Leppard 547,647
2017: Bon Jovi 1,162,146
2016: Journey 250,758
2015: Chicago 37,666,986 (not a typo!)
2014: Stevie Ray Vaughn 18,331,506
2013: Kiss 239,417

I don’t think the family is that crazy.

I had no idea the Chicago fan vote was that high. But they were way overdue by 2015.

I just don't care. The fan vote doesn't mean what it should mean. I think the Hall is flawed and I think the creator is a massive douchebag.

That said, and as I posted earlier, obviously DMB belongs in a museum for rock history. They broke a lot of barriers. Even the racial diversity in the band is pretty cool, let alone having a violin, sax, and acoustic guitar driving their rock band. They created one of the signature sounds of the 90's/00's while selling a shit ton of tickets and records. In the grand scheme of things, they're a monster and they deserve to be honored as such.

I think 2019 DMB is a shell of itself. We get glimpses of brilliance and a lot of forced crappy stuff. But Dave's written some of the most unique songs of the last 30 years. The musicianship with Carter and Roi was top notch. They always seemed to promote their friends and various guests. Dave can be a pain in the ass, but he seems like a good man with a big heart. You hear a lot of stories about stuff he/they do behind the scenes that most rock starts don't do. I'm proud to love this band and in the long haul the good still outweighs the bad by a ton.

2015 servers were hacked, the top 5 all got over 25 million votes with 6th under 1 million

Right now I’d say they’re almost certain to get in. Yesterday the host of the classic rock channel on Sirius said DMB is leading the vote by a huge margin, and the top 5 vote getters are inducted. Voting goes until January, and things could always change, but it looks like the band will earn enough votes to keep them among the top 5.

That is wildly incorrect.

Wonder how Dave will twist this into having even more disdain for his fans.
