FYI, Set 2 is shorter than typical, b/c these shows had the 3rd set with Dylan

Is there an official release coming out soon? Feel like we’re due for a Dave’s (or Jerry), but maybe I missed one.

The next Dave’s, due in a couple weeks, is 2/26/77 Swing Aud and apparently there’s a JGB Eel River (87/89/91) box of some sort coming soon, not sure if it will be all the complete shows or a comp.

Yeah I can understand that for sure. Dead and Co has been very hit or miss to me. There are shows where the drummers play with a lot more energy, Mayer guides the tempos a little faster and they smoke it, but thatís the exception rather than the norm. Sometimes also feel Mayer isnít the greatest in terms of leading jams into a creative place, a lot of times sounds like theyíre all not in sync or playing with each other.

4/2/90 Omni, Atlanta
Special moment early in set 1 was when Half-Step rolled right into The Weight, with them taking turns singing the verses. They had just played it for the first time a couple nights earlier up here at Nassau Coliseum, but there was no internet etc. so I was clueless about that.

(this whole run, I saw all 3, is in the 2 Spring 1990 boxes)
Listening this one again now. I still get goosebumps every time I listen to this Weight

From the life comes at you fast dept...

Turns out that little one had lice. My wife discovered it jsut as we were getting ready to head out skiing. So now just me and my oldest. The soundtrack? Provided by our resident archivist, of course. Only thing we are missing is a kickass 1/2 step...

Ah nice (I mean, except for the lice of course)

Keep in mind, I was only throwing together little playlists of things on Spotify. And my fave Half-Steps are not on there. But, it looks like you're replicating it in iTunes, so you can cheat a little and add in the Half-Step>Big River from 5/7/77 Boston or Half-Step>El Paso from 5/17/77 Tuscalossa, or the 11/6/77 Binghamton Half-Step.

Annnd, you just listened to the 4/2/90 Half-Step which is a great latter one.

JRAD at the Cap tonight!

The show itself is outstanding, but weíve known that for many years. I havenít heard the DP yet, mine is arriving today. Excited to hear if itís a noticeable upgrade over the already great SBD we have.

Just threw on DP29 and Jerry’s voice sounds weird on this terrapin. Too deep. Anyone else? or am I losing my mind?

You're losing your mind. I don't recall ever thinking his voice sounded weird.
