Just got tickets to see Josh Ritter in May in Philly, his new album comes out soon and is produced by Jason Isbell with the 400 Unit providing backing. Can't wait.

Got a few coming up

Chris Robinson Brotherhood this Saturday in Grand Junction, CO
CRB again next Friday in Denver
Corey Harris (he guested with DMB ages ago) next Sunday in Denver.

In March I'm going to an eTown recording with Jonathan Wilson and Steve Earle. Should be very cool. Does anyone ever listen to eTown?

Man you are lucky! We haven't been able to see him in forever. There was a little Roots festival at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, OH that he played 3 or 4 years straight. The first time we saw him is still one of my favorite concert experiences.

Sucks the new album Kickstarter didn't make it. I assume he'll get it out somehow.

Was thinking about seeing TR3 tomorrow night with my brother, but fuck that it's way too cold to go anywhere.

February 8th | TR3 | Gramercy
February 9th | Vanilla Ice | Radio City
February 15th | Umphrey’s | Brooklyn Steel
February 18th | Metric | Kings Theater (Maybe)
February 20th | Matt Nathonson | Irving
March 1st | Mike Doughty | Bowery Ballroom
March 12th | Weezer & Pixies | MSG
March 16th | Guster | Beacon Theater

My next few weeks got busy. Taking BOTH of the parents to TR3 and first tape with what I'm going to be tentatively taping DMB with this summer so that should be a fun time.

Metric I'm kinda eh on, its going to be one of those "how brick awful cold is it outside and how low have the tickets gone" kinda shows. cause if its like 2 degrees FUCK going out to Kings Theater. Knowing my luck with that place it'll be pouring rain just to make sure I get sick. I also saw them opening for Pumpkins last summer so its a bit of a toss off show.

Hey Feathered how's Guster sounding these days? They're rolling through Denver and I'm tempted. Haven't seen them since about 2004

I have mad respect for CRB. Saturday's show in Grand Junction (small town in western CO) was VERY empty. Like, maybe 150 tickets sold in a 1,000 seat theatre. They absolutely rocked it anyway. They poked a few jokes about small crowd/bizarre theatre and then put on a hell of a show. I was impressed they still went about 2:40 including a 30-minute set break. It gave me a chance to sit for a show and really pay attention to a lot of things that were going on. I picked up on a lot that isn't really feasible in a packed room.

I'm going again Friday in Denver and that will sell out. It'll be fun to see the difference between both shows. Neal Casal is just the best.

Literally no idea what Iím walking in to with that one. I think I saw them last on the same tour you did the tapes that have come out recently sound very Guster.

Saw TR3 with my parents on Friday, real small venue, maybe 200 people there. They played a two hour set that was some random songs, their new album, some more randoms and covers to close it out. Lots of fun, Tim is a hoot to listen to in between songs.

I got a nice pull of the show aside from a battery issue making me splice in my backup (which was just internal mics from my stealth recorder, not awful but not as thick).

Havenít cut it yet partially because I havenít had the time and also I still need to pin down a few songs Iím ?!?! on the name of.

Iíll replace it with the tracked link once I get around to it this week. Umphreys on Friday.

TR3 tape is done and up. Was a really nice show if anyone digs them. The new album is the middle block.

That's great to hear. Probably mostly blues stuff? This has inspired me to dig out some of my old tapes.

All blues. I wasn't really sure what to expect going in and he exceeded my expectations. There were maybe 75 people at the show - a very respectful, attentive audience. He's from Colorado but said he's living in Italy these days. He shared some very cool stories and seemed like a genuinely good man. Very interesting show.
