I'm not a big Springsteen fan, but I've always been intrigued by this one. I love the title song.

I've been listening to more Springsteen in the past year or so, but previous to that, this was pretty much the only one of his that I liked. It's so raw and powerful. And Atlantic City is one of my all-time favorites.

That Johnny Jenkins album is quite an interesting little record, for as little-known as it is. It started its life as a Duane Allman solo album, and features a lot of his guitar work, along with contributions from most of the early members of the Allman Bros. Duane abandoned the tracks when the band took off and gave them to Jenkins, who fleshed them out, added some others and ended up with a pretty great little swamp blues record. It has another little piece of trivia associated with it too, as the opening track, a Dr. John cover called I Walk on Guilded Splinters, is the song that Beck sampled to create the backing track of Loser.
