EDIT: at least there appears to be b-roll from these sessions in the final video.
and aren't some of the live clips just from youtube? The shotgun live footage looked like a copperpot video that was screenshot.

Got to Can't Stop in another listen through this morning. It's become bearable for the most part (i.e., I don't feel the need to actually skip it), however, I still can't help but cringe when I get to "Free the beat inside of me...free the beat inside of me...free the beast inside of me..."

Pretty sure everything is old except them sitting around the table talking about it.

While you may not like the here on out, a full orchestra show with the stone, here on out, come tomorrow, baby blue, and other songs that have full strings on them + adding an orchestra to classics would still be cool

Does anybody not agree with that? At this point I almost feel like it has to happen.

Man, I'm digging Come On Come On more each day. Do we know when Dave did the vocals for that track? Nails it.

The fact that Come On Come On was written 10 years ago and we never heard a note of it until now fascinates me. Makes you really wonder what else they have in the vault.

I actually really like VITR live. I was really into the versions from 2015 at the time. Theres something missing a bit from the studio version, but its still good.

I think the live versions were more straight forward, on the downbeat. The studio seems to sit a bit off of that and a has a bouncier feel to it.

I wasn't hearing them initially, but once you notice them you can't not hear it again. They just have a beautiful "ooooooooooooooooooo" throughout the song in various spots that perfectly blends itself into the overall sound of the track. I really enjoy it.

Agreed. They were used the same way the horn section was and it was a bold decision that I'm sure was fought against by a few people in the band and crew. The more I listen to this and the more I think about it...Come Tomorrow is actually a brilliant effort in the studio, even if the results aren't up to par because the songs aren't instant epic classics. But slowly this album keeps having me rethink the band's current status, where they could go especially in the studio, and the potential of Dave's future songwriting with or without this band and anything single album that has me thinking this much...man, it's definitely worth more than my initial ranking.

it really makes the chorus hit the mark for me. Its so subtle but really ties the theme and feeling of the song together.

Makes sense that the vocals sound like run while we can. Although it's possible the track never had lyrics until recently. If I had to guess, the verses/chorus are old, and the bridge is new, that's why it's cheesier. DMB is just an aging cheese that gets cheesier as the years go by.
