Yeah tonight is a standard as it gets for Dave and Tim these days. Still some nice songs and the ending run looks pretty good but not much to get excited with that's for sure.

Did you google map the venue?

There doesn't seem to be any barrier preventing your from just standing on the public sidewalk outside of the venue near the highway and watching the show. Probably would be able to see the screens and hear fine.

I would assume venue people are stationed along the sidewalk try to usher people along, but I have not idea having never been there.

Nah -- I was at the show. Friend who didn't have tix got to hear the entire thing on the bridge.

It was a fine show. Nothing insane but a fine time still -- especially since I didn't think I'd be seeing DMB this summer.

Guy couldn't even throw them a bone like Raven, dreaming tree or the stone

Like I said in another thread, the sound is not my biggest problem with the band, it is daves stale ass set writing.

Guess he just really hates playing with the band if he just goes out there and plays the exact same setlists he's played in the past. Clearly the tour isn't to try anything new or different. N

If Dave really wanted something different he wouldn't be touring with Tim this year. But yet again, some of the same people, mainly the same pool of songs... humans are a repetitive bunch.

Serious question: how long has it been since this band/Dave was consistently surprising people with sets or performances? How long before we stop expecting him to and accept that this is just where he/they are now?

I think this happened to me mid-2014 when I realized the acoustic sets wouldn't be the boon we all thought they'd be. Right about the time they really started in on the LOUDERFASTER crap.

So, for me, 2013 was the last interesting year, although there still have been a few bright spots here and there since then.

Why do I still follow the band/Dave? Nostalgia? Habit? Foolish hope?

Yup. 2013 for me too.

I wouldn't have thought SomeDevil17 would be puttong more effort into this show thread than dave put into that set last night.

Why do the year after album releases get insane bust outs? 2003, 2006, 2010, 2013. It's gotta be more than just playing less songs off the album.
