Blue Jay Way might sound even more claustrophobic in mono.

The Official Beatles Thread

I know a lot of people claim AR to be their best album, but sometimes I don't feel this way.

Seeing that this thread was topped, I was just about to post that AR is the best album ever by anyone. I'm sure many will disagree with me.

Don't get me wrong, it's an incredibly amazing record for sure. However, there is something about the 1965-1967 Beales that I absolutely love as well.

I love EVERYTHING about The Beatles. Early stuff, middle stuff, late stuff. I eat it all up. But, to me, Abbey Road is pretty much perfection.

I agree that I love all of their phases as well. There are gems on each of their albums. Just out of curiousity, where would you rank "Revolver"?

Probably second or third.

Yea, that album switches back and forth between first and second often.

I agree with Brian on all counts, here. I first heard Abbey Road in third grade and it was the album that got me into The Beatles and I still feel like it's their best. It's usually my go-to answer for favorite album ever, also.

Not sure I can figure that out right now. Probably White Album or Sgt Pepper's though.

Respectable When you're talking about the Beatles, you really can't go wrong, since they really don't have, for example, an ED or SU in their catalogue.

Speaking of The White Album, I think I remember seeing a list of the worst songs of all time the included Ob La Di Ob La Da as the #1 worst song of all time. Now, it's not a masterpiece, but I've always loved the shit out of that track. Catchiest thing ever.

The Official Beatles Thread

It's nowhere near being the worst song of all time. It is pretty catchy and enjoyable as well.

For those of you who have never listened to the Beatles "Anthology" series before, they are now available on iTunes. I highly recommend it.

Dear Prudence is my favorite song of all-time. Dunno why, just is. Has been since I was 10, and still is.
