Worse, he sent me another picture of a contact sheet, obviously just copied from the contact page of our website, that includes my name. I googled the fake brewery name and found a clone of our website, where every reference to our name had been replaced by the fake one. Even pictures of awards that we had won had been altered. So, I'm now somehow a part of some sort of employment scam that seems to be preying on people in India. Fucking fuck everything.
That's fucked up. How the hell did your brewery get chosen for that kind of thing? The awards?

Hope this nonsense can be sorted out with minimal damage to your company or you. Even though it doesn't sound like anyone on your end is responsible, you never know how people involved will react.

I have no idea. The only thing I can think of is that whoever is doing this is trying to get Indian passport IDs or something like that. But yeah, it doesn't make much sense to me. Supposedly our lawyers are already on this, so hopefully it'll be going away soon. Either that or Homeland Security will be shipping me off to Guantanamo soon. I'll let you know what happens.

I'm a landlord and it's fine usually had a guy bail a month early though and he stole a few things. Feels pretty helpless but glad he's gone. Was just 1 of 4 tenants so not a huge hit

I've got a few days to think about it. They can't officially hire me until my background check comes back. But it looks like I'm moving to Louisville. Now to find a place to live

4 diamond hotel and it has the only 5 diamond restaurant in Kentucky. It's one of the 3 hotels in Louisville where all the big wigs stay for the Derby. Apparently Mitch McConnell eats there once a week.

and back to the complaining!!

we just had our QA audit from Hilton. As front desk supervisor my responsibility is for overall service and making sure our gift shop is set up right. Literally the only thing my department got counted off for was the sodas weren't organized right, but that is fairly meaningless. We got an "Outstanding" which is the best.

Overall, hotel failed.

But as soon as my drug test comes back I'm putting in my notice.

even better. 2 hotels in Lexington have now called me. One is the 21C which is VERY nice and new. The other is the Hilton downtown.

On one hand the Seelbach is awesome and all. But I have to move to Louisville. WHICH IS FINE! But damn it would be so much easier to stay put until I get a fat raise.

If I were you, I'd go with the best location. Obviously, you want as much money as possible. But a crummy location for great pay doesn't sound like a good trade-off. There's got to be a middle-ground.
