Very nice...

On a semi-related note I have a bottle of Omegang Gnomegang in my fridge

Just starting to get into them as well. I saw some reviews on iTunes though about how the album, I and Love and You, sounded to pop focused for them and the banjo was almost completely gone. I've listened to the tracks on iTunes, but for those that have been listening for awhile and know their old stuff, what do you think?

I'm really indifferent about I And Love And You. I think some of the songs on that album are gay as shit such as I And Love And You, January Wedding, Kick Drum Heart, and Laundry Room. Love the hell out of some too though like And It Spread, Head Full of Doubt/Road Full of Promise, Incomplete & Insecure...

Alright, I think I'll buy Emotionalism first. I really like Murder in the City. Is The Second Gleam a good enough album overall to buy?

Also, Ticketmaster is gay and they only have tickets on Stub Hub, which is about $70 for the show I would like to go to in my city. Is that around the price you guys paid or have the jacket it up?

Thanks!

the cost of their tickets has risen steeply the last two years. when I saw them in '09 they were 25 dollars; I paid 40 for the tickets to Ommegang but that wasn't thru ticketfuckers. The next most recent was at RCMH but I can't remember what I paid for those. I would just accept your fate and bring plenty of lube.

Live Volume 3 is very well produced with a good mix of old and new songs.

Well yeah, I've seen some for that much for the show I want to go to as well, but then they have $68 for a pair too, so why not go with the cheaper ones.....it's all standing room only anyway. I was just asking if $68 was too much to begin with. Looks like I will have to suck it up.

$68 isn't terrible, I've paid between $30-$45 dollars to see them, and I'd probably pay more, if necessary.

I go through phases of which album I like the best, usually it's between Four Thieves Gone and Emotionalism with Mignonette sometimes sneaking it's way in there. I have no problem with I and Love and You as an album, it's just different than what they're other stuff sounds like. Poppy? Yes. Good? Also, yes. Even Carolina Jubilee and Country Was are great, great albums. They're just great musicians who put out great work.
