Agreed. Great crowd, too.

I was pretty open minded going in but especially wanted to hear Franklin's Tower and He's Gone. No complaints!

Dave’s Picks #27 is Boise State University Pavilion in Boise, ID on September 2, 1983. Can’t remember if we knew this already. Cool to get an ‘83 show.

When I first got into GD it was Without a Net and the Europe 72 release. I hit full blown obsession when I discovered the Dec 83 New Yearís Eve run on video (available on YouTube). I inhaled anything and everything early 80ís after that, before branching to other years. In fact, I still listen / watch to that 83 run to this day. I think I have every note memorized by heart. I know there are better years, but I love my Jerry doped up, bloated, and shredding.

JG struggled through so many issues, but one that doesn't get enough discussion is the neuropathy he had in his fingers as he played towards the end. Imagine playing as well as JG did, without actually having full feeling in your finger tips.

There was one on there- the Help>Slip>Frank from Dicks Picks 3 (5/22/77)

Another readily available one to check out is the Jack Straw > Franklins opening combo from Go To Nassau (5/15/80)

thank you Mitch. I’ve only listened to your ‘72 Vol. 2 recommendation a while back and my Dead & Co show. I’ll continue with these playlists.
