although, as a counterpoint, that Too Much is really fucking rough.

I was waiting for my car at the mechanic this saturday morning, saw copperpot posted this video and was disappointed when my car was finished before the set was over.

This performance is FANTASTIC. Even the Satellite, which is generally the same, is great. its awesome seeing 95 DMB in HD like this too.

But how good is that riff.. so funky. Wish he kept that up. Such a simple riff but so hard to play like that. He definitely simplified it over the years.

I love that Recently, but I still think this version is as good as any one I've ever heard. And it's from a year ago.

Did you actually listen to it? Or are you just assuming that because it's newer, it can't be good?

I actually listened to both back to back. I heard the 95 recently the other day, but still listened to it today after hearing the 2018 version.

I wrote my comment half way through the 95 version when I knew it already surpassed the 2018.

I still enjoy 2018 dmb, but it doesnt hold a candle to 95-00 to me.

Cool.

For the most part, I still prefer old DMB.

But I like what they've done with Recently post Boyd. Buddy ads a lot and Jeff really accents Roi's part on the chorus, which I've always loved.

Recently is one of the few foolproof DMB tunes. No matter the lineup, it'll always sound great.

Ehh, two different animals for sure. The nostalgia of the 95, Boyd being competent, Roi being there, Carter’s old kit, SYNERGY, it’s all fun

But Dave’s voice is much better/more bearable on the 2018, the tune didn’t suffer from LOUDER/FASTER, the jam is still great, the audio/lighting is drastically improved.

I’m all about what DMB used to be, I just never felt that Recently suffered from time itself

I have to agree that Recently will always be good, and that 2018 version is great. That '95 version is absurdly good. Really not much of a contest imo. Dave's voice alone seals the deal and that's nothing compared to how pure the band sounds back then.

Thank you! I either didn’t realize or forgot there was video from this show. Those 2014/2015 Bela guest spots were a treat.

The 2015 weekend at SPAC for the 4th of July was absolutely fantastic. They basically played all the tunes you’d want to hear bela on in one weekend.
Typical, satellite, ants, Dreaming Tree, cornbread(ehh but it makes sense), DDTW, Grey Street, grace is gone, spaceman (this one is unique at least), #41 and LIOG

I was so glad that I saw 5 shows between 2014 and 2015 and 4 of them featured Bela Fleck spots.

Would be great to get these shows officially released. Is the tape good?

I would be so happy if they ever released the 2015 or 2016 SPAC shows.

Those two SPAC shows are top 5 of the 105 I've seen.
