I see there's D/T Spac rumors swirling now.

They really are going to hit amps this summer aren't they? Red Rocks would be cool. Places like Millenium Park in Chicago would be cool. But full on amps? No thanks.

What rumors? I still don't think that'll happen. If they do an amphitheater tour, it's not going to be the same venues they play with DMB..those are far too big and they've had trouble selling those out with the full band as it is. I could see smaller amps like red rocks and that NH one though.

If they were going to do the normal amp stops, they'd have to make it a multiple bill show..with like 2 or 3 acts I would think...more like a caravan kind of deal.

Yeah, I'd have to pass on that.

I ventured over to the land of ants and it's being discussed.

I think we all expect Dave and Tim dates in America this year. We've already seen them try some smaller amps (the one off shows the last few years).

Would a Dave and Tim show at SPAC draw any less than DMB? I could see them selling it out. Hardcore fans would travel for that. I wouldn't imagine they would do it in places like STL - but SPAC? Sadly, I can see it.

They wouldn't mess with Alpine - way too big.

They need to stick to auditoriums and theatres if they're going to do a U.S. tour, the music is made for venues like that.

I really don't think they would sell it out in the same way the band does, unless they don't care about selling it out. People love tailgaiting at SPAC, it's a big part of the draw and D+T just doesn't lend itself to that. It's not a party kind of vibe like the band is. I mean if they just didn't sell lawn seats and made it just the inside maybe, though I don't think the venue would go for it.

And I don't see D+F doing a tour either with no new material to support. I mean it's totally possibly they could record an album in the next couple months and have it released before July and have a full blown D+F tour. That's the only way I see any kind of ampitheater tour happening. I could be wrong, but I think it'd be pretty shocking honestly.

I think it's much more likely we see a small theater tour (radio city, beacon etc.) barring a Dave solo release out of left field I think we see a US D+T tour that goes from mid-May to mid-July covering small theaters--roughly 20-25 shows.

I saw dave and Tim in New Orleans in 2014 and I don't think the majority of the audience knew it wasn't full band. They were fucking wasted.

My preference is a theatre tour. But why play the paramount when you can play red rocks? Why play the Chicago theatre when you can play Millenium park? I bet they try out the smaller amps (8-10K). With a few big ones (spac) here and there.

If I saw dave and Tim in a theatre I wouldn't tailgate. If they're playing red rocks I'll be tailgating.

Who cares what other people think it is? The idiots are gonna do what they do no matter what. I went to the CMAC show, it was fine. D&T could get enough people to SPAC.

Yea I agree, idk maybe other people are hypersensitive to that stuff but it doesn't bother me at all.

If D+T played an ampitheatre, they'd need an opening act, right?

Stefan has been furiously masterbating to the thought of Yukon opening for Dave, Tim, Stefan at amps across America this summer.
