The original lineup was one of my all-time favorites. I’ve recently been digging into a lot of the rarer stuff from the early years after not listening to them much at all for a while. Damn, I really miss that band. They were a great live act too.

I don't know what that is, but "Hello Vagina" is a good song title

It is. But telling someone "OMG you have to listen to this song!" becomes rough when you throw that name out there

After Laughter (Paramore) is one of my favorite albums of the last few years actually.

Yeah I’m definitely a big Paramore fan.

This year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class is pretty hard to argue with.

Janet Jackson
Radiohead
The Cure
Stevie Nicks
Roxy Music (Brian Eno included)
Def Leppard
The Zombies

After a few years where I felt like only maybe one or two of the picks actually deserved it, the only one of these that I’m iffy on is Def Leppard.

It's not that I don't like them. I just don't listen to them very often.

I've always thought they were terrible.

What has 9 arms and sucks? Def Leppard

I definitely agree with you. Never could stand them, even when they were huge when I was a kid. You canít question their popularity, though, but what, beyond record sales, did they actually contribute? They didnít change anything, and left no real lasting legacy or trail of influence. Thatís been my exact problem with a lot of the recent inductees. Theyíre not important, they are, or were, just popular.

I was about 13 when Pyromania came out (82 or 83). That album was a big fucking deal at the time! But generally I was never big on Def Leppard.

That’s awesome. I love everything and anything Thile does.

As do I. I wish I had a recording of the solo show I saw. It was in a sanctuary at Asbury Seminary.
