Look, I know we're all butt-hurt with an album we haven't even heard yet, but let's not all lemming our way off the cliffs yet.

I would not be surprised, at all, if we got some Stand Up nostalgia this tour after the Batson reunion. Plus for some reason adding keys makes me think of a return to the 05-07 sound and a lot of that was Stand Up.

Hopefully I'm totally wrong.

Odds Bismarck is shelved this summer and doesn't get played?

Sad. Still in disbelief it didn't make the cut for the album.

I feel like this is one omission that justifies our bitching. Did they listen to how awesome that tune is live? Maybe the way it came out in the studio wasn't up to snuff but still.

I could see Bismarck getting played, like how they still played Lillywhite Session tunes in 2001.

Bismarck has quickly plunged into overrated territory.

If they released it in 1998 it would be everyoneís least favorite song, but because they released it (live) post-Everyday and Stand Up, people love it because itís bubbly and has a little bounce to it.

Itís nice, but wayyyyy too wordy and always felt forced and a bit jumbled to me. I can honestly see why they omitted it, though I also think they kept worse songs.

Knowing this band, kind of expecting them to play it on Friday night.

Yea I kind of agree. I don't like the vocal range for him on that song and the verses are kind of awkward. It does have a nice bounciness to it and a good Jeff solo though. It's typical of the band to leave it off in favor of clearly inferior songs but I don't view it on the same level as the 04 stuff or anything like that.

People like what they like. Music is so personal and we all have enough experience listening to music that saying people don't like something for their own reasons but something you think is a bit demeaning.

Lots of people like something that you don't is just an unpopular opinion. Overrated means that that unpopular opinion is correct. Which it is not. It's an opinion.

This is more about judging people and ascribing your taste to them, than it is about DMB or Bismarck.
