Damn, that’s way too young. He was the very definition of a singular talent.

He was one of those guys that I never really cared about, but I never minded hearing him come on the radio.

Exactly. A handful of his songs were (and I guess still are) staples of FM classic rock radio.

Spot on.

Also very cool to see the Neal Casal tribute show is going to be at the Capitol Theatre. Really hoping for a stream cause I just can't swing it mid-week. It's a great lineup. Too bad Ryan wasn't invited (for obvious reasons) in the grand scheme of Neal's career he really should be there.

Man, I've seen Eddie Money live like 10 times. He opened the Pine Knob concert season like every summer when I lived in Michigan. RIP.

2nd to last night at the Hampton Inn and the Backstreet Boys are playing 3 blocks away.

I have to say, a lot of BSB fans have aged very well.

Today's Google Doodle is for B.B. King, on what would've been his 94th birthday.

20-year retrospective double vinyl coming out in December from Stars. And yes, Your Ex-Lover is Dead is on it.

Some of you might be interested in the fact that for their archival Sunday review today, Pitchfork reviews Room for Squares. I was surprised to see the 7.8 rating.

Ginger Baker died today. He was maybe the first Rock drummer to make his instrument stand out. One of the absolute greatest.
