Yes, please DMB, when you play the Philly area this summer, play The Mann. I'm done with Camden.

Excited to follow these sets this weekend. Last year we got some new covers and a couple nice guest spots. This time Bela is there, so that alone will definitely produce a couple incredible guest spots. We could get new covers. But more than anything, maybe some new songs.

Iíve given up on this dream a while ago. Itíll be the same old venues theyíve been doing for 20 years. This 1 year break was a total waste and I hate to be negative, but I donít think itís gping to change anything. The band deserved a rest no doubt and theyíve given us a lot over the last 25 years but this fan base drastically needs something to happen with the bandólineup change, venue change/touring strategy change, a new album, a unique kind of event (like bakers dozen etc).

I think if something drastic doesnít happen like that, itís just going to be a slow dwindle down into nostalgia/Vegas act. Buffet has been able to keep playing amps despite radio success in recent years, and hasnít put out many albums either in the last decade. Heís more of a celebrity though, and more of a business entrepreneur than Dave is, and heís constantly doing guest spots on other famous country singers albums, so I feel heís in the public eye more which helps him with his touring. Not sure DMB can keep this pace unless something happens.

Couldn't agree more. Last year Mexico shows were the most interesting shows of the entire year (aside from maybe a couple others). A lot of bustouts, debuts and guest spots and overall the performances were really solid. I still hope one of those shows gets released sometime...though like you said, these have potential to be even better with Bela there. Having the 3 nights and being forced not to repeat songs is a BLESSING and really allows for not only things to get interesting, but also allows Dave and Tim to loosen up. Brandi is also there, so Spoon is another strong possibility since they did play it this past summer.

Yeah I can’t even venture a guess but I’d set the line on “surprises” (i.e. - new songs, guest spots, rarities) at 3.5 and take the under.

Would be very down to come home to a new song recording tonight. But I'm not getting my hopes up. But realistically, Bela will guest tonight if he is opening this show.

Do You Remember solo opener. Where’s greykittykat? Pretty sure it was him who recently mentioned how modern Dave would never open a show with a basically unheard song.

I love that it’s not even crowded for that. I’d pay out the ass if it meant that the attendance was capped at “you can spread your arms, spin around and not hit anyone.”

That photo is pretty fucking embarrassing. No one could bother to pull themselves away from shitty alcohol long enough to watch Bela fleck play?

I didnít think the band would do it, but Dave has shown when heís on his own or with Tim he can be more creative with the setliss. That being said, aside from the opener this is about as predictable as a N1?show could be but thatís fine, still loooks pretty good and would definitely be fun to be there.

DMB posted a video of do you remember this afternoon. Either someone knew the setlist or someone mentioned it to dave. Either way I like the tune. Hope to hear a recording but bummed there’s no tim

There’s Bela. Plus Carlos Malta. Getting to full band levels here.
Show looks pretty good!
