I need a few good laughs. What is the exact name of the group please?

Just listening to this OSW, you can tell it has the ingredients of a legendary show. This one just has that classic "feel" of an all-timer.

That’s because it is, undeniably, an all-timer.

Yeah, I mean it’s a top 5 show, no?

Certainly in terms of how much this has been on people’s release want lists.

It’s definitely top five for me, and if we’re talking about how much it’s been talked about in terms of fans (at least in this board family) wanting it to be officially released, I’d be surprised if it isn’t easily the most mentioned show in the band’s history.

Thanks, great show.... does anyone know if Dave used to rehearse songs like jtr, raven, good good time etc. prior to the show or if the lyrics are 100% improv? Iíve always wondered this and figured Iíd see if anyone had any knowledge on this?

Has to be in that territory.

At times, yes. At the C'ville exhibit at the 25th anny show, there were sheets of paper with lyrics scribbled on them with a date. I remember a few of them were for #40. I wish I had pics.

Not to be that guy, but if this show isn’t mixed well, how bad will it kill this show’s status? I mean, what if Bela or Boyd are low in the mix? Whoever is mixing this show, please don’t mess this one up.

It won't kill it at all. A great show is a great show. Obviously everyone wants a great mix, but kind of a weird take.

A weird take from a weird guy, I guess. I was thinking of LT 2 in my thought process. That was a great show too, but now relegated to meh status in our community.

Yeah when you mentioned that I thought of LT2, and I don’t think it’d diminish my enjoyment of the show, I just wouldn’t enjoy the mix/release if it’s bad. We already know the show is amazing.

I don’t think it’s that weird to be concerned for the mix. The mixes are kind of all over the place. Which can be good, but...

Top 5 show in terms of what we want released? Yes. Top 5 overall show? That's a little overboard I think. It's clearly a ridiculously good show, but I wouldn't say it's Top 5 of all-time, that's a bit much.

I understand mix concerns I just meant it wonít make it a lesser show.

Oh, I definitely agree with you about this. This is an amazing show. One of the best ever. I’m just always nervous about the mix when great shows are released. I do apologize for the confusion. I didn’t mean to come across negatively or incorrectly.

For me it is up there...certainly top 5 of shows Iíve been to and Iíve seen some classics. I could easily put it top 10.

When I first discovered the boards and tapes in 2004 I asked for recommendations on "the best DMB show ever" so that I could download and listen to good shows. This show was one of the first that was recommended to me and one of the first tapes I ever listened to.

I think Top 5 shows of all time is very subjective of course but if someone put this in their Top 5 list I wouldn't question it at all.
