It's fine when they do what the did with the starting run, but then that ending hour is a goddamn tire fire.

I would argue that the song really blows now compared to the 90s/2000s

Iím so far beyond the point of enjoying that song unless itís a rest song somewhere in a really solid set. Give me some BOWA in its place if you want a similar type / length song.

Granny, OSW, Seven, Jimi and Grey Street are beyond overplayed and there are better choices from the same era/album for most of them that would actually be a surprise.

Man, I don't know. That's a song that generally hasn't changed much over the years.

I agree. Carter got heavy on it 2014-2016, but last year he was pretty mellow again. Otherwise itís the same. I actually enjoy Buddyís singing additions to the outro now too.

Also, I have never found Granny to be overplayed. Itís played exactly the amount where I still get excited when it pops up at a show Iím at.

This set is what I expected out of this tour. Feel bad for anyone that went to the first one.

Granny’s too loud. But most songs are these days.

That's why I love VITR so much on the Come Tomorrow. I want this version of DMB to explore more sounds like THAT. It's haunting, and beautiful and just all around fucking lovely.

I want Bismarck back, for fuck's sake. Is that too much to ask? More songs like that, please.

I mean, to each their own, but is absence making the heart grow fonder here? I always thought it was okay but nothing overly special. Lyrically it's kind of a jumbled mess.

Not in the least. If anything, I've thought less about this song in the past year. I was obsessed with it in 2016 though. Love the lyrics, love the melody, love the build-up, love the chorus, love the Jeff jam.

Definitive version, which my iTunes playcount tells me I've listened to 106 times:

I love Bismarck too. It’s puzzling they dropped it. It would have fit on the album well.

There is absolutely no good reason for them to have dropped that song. The little bit that Boyd did on it would sound at least as good with Buddy on the organ. But instead they just stop playing the best song that They’ve debuted since ‘04 (my opinion. I don’t care if you disagree so save it).

Bismarck is a great little tune and needs to be in rotation. I can see why people think the lyrics are jumbled or too plentiful, but I actually love that about it. Thought he did a nice job with that. He botched em live a few times but you can see the idea and it’s pretty cool

So kinda a pity he didn't join their show.
Still can't believe they played this set.

That opening 5 song run is delicious. Count your blessings anytime you get an early set Nancies Warehouse.
