I knew he was joking about the Batson thing, but I assumed he was basing it off other bands that have done the same.

Ah fuck it.

and we wonder why they keep writing and releasing music like this...because they get immense praise for this garbage. Just shows how little competition there is in the rock music genre and how the industry has shifted dramatically from it

Just looking at their competition for the award:
Imagine dragons
Mumford & Sons
Panic at the Disco
21 pilots

The state of “rock” music today.

Yeah, no chance DMB wins that IMO. That one will go to Imagine Dragons or Mumford (no idea they still we're a thing).

DMB was nominated because they had the best selling rock album of the last three years or something like that

Almost been a year since this came out... and I have fond memories of the build up in May especially- fun times here. I still dig the album!

I love half of this album and I'm basically outright hate the other half.

I LOVE Do You Remember, Virginia, Samurai Cop, Again and Again, Black and Bluebird, Here On Out, Idea of You, and She.

I dislike Can't Stop, TGIY, When I'm Weary, Come Tomorrow, and Come On Come On.

This album feels like a b-sides album to me. Probably because that’s what it is. As such, I still feel like DMB hasn’t made an actual album since 2012. I hope they actually create an album together sometime soon.

Iíd be fine if they stop making albums. Iíd much rather they fuck around with the stuff they already have. Plus albums seem to be a source of tension for the band

I agree with you, the sets are diluted as it is. When bands age like DMB is now, there really isn't a need for new albums. If they released an EP every few years I'd be ok with that.

I'd say that's true about almost every album of theirs except Come Tomorrow.

Sorry to disappoint, but there are more albums on the way.

I feel like the main source of tension was Boyd. I'd also love for a new album to include Jeff & Buddy from the jump.
