The last D+T tour didn't show much variety though.

I get that DMb has never been all that varied, but I can understand the DMB of 15 years ago not being varied as opposed to a band with a catalog like they have now. It isn't changing though so I'm not bitching, just saying...

well they haven't really had a tour in the united states since '03. And even that tour was odd because it was their first time playing together since '99 and tim had been very sick.

If they had a tour together now that was 20 to 30 dates in the US, I would hope we'd see more varied sets.

Plus, even though vegas is an island, Tim has been on the last two full tours with dmb, which obviously wasn't the case in '94 & '95. one would think that alone could lead to a bigger catalog.

I get them repeating album songs (even though I think it is ridiculous), but repeating songs like Crush, Bartender, SorL, Eh Hee, Oh, Nancies, Two Step is just weird at this point in Dave & Tim's touring career imho. They could have filled out the weekend without repeating non-BWGGK songs.

I'm sure it is just as simple as it being an island and dave not really preparing for it. His playing is quite sloppy. Had they have been preparing for a tour, or this been a 3 night'er in the middle of a tour, I think things might have been better.

yeah...i'm not surprised at all. a random 3-show run in vegas for release screams laziness.

agreed that if D&T got into a somewhat more extended tour in the U.S., things could be more interesting and varied.

Well I finally had someone a couple years back convert these but i don't think i ever seeded them. What i have are 3 different DAT sources from 2-17-96 along with the only DAT source for 1-27-97. I am from CT and got these shows back when they occurred and did nothing with them... here is a sample. Be on the look out for these in about a month or so. I will prob have a friend normalize these as I see they were recorded very low

granted I am on a laptop right now, but the LIOG sounds better than the tape we currently have, no?

pretty sure the only source around is the one I pieced together to make whole. So, I think yes, should be a better and at least a pure digital conversion.

but, either way nothing better than seeing this thread topped with new sources
