I was just wondering when that was coming out. Thanks for the head's up.

What was up at the show? Sloppy performance? Same old group of songs? Was John croaking out lyrics because he had another "cold"?

All of the above and add in 'horrible crowd' and 'terrible sound' and you have one of the worst shows I'd ever attended.

I remember you having a bad show. That sucks. But you should definitely check this out. You donít use Spotify, I guess?

I don't, I've always found not-so-legal ways to acquire music (see the torrent thread for the update on that.) Haha. I'll give it a listen eventually, we'll see.

Woah, woah, woah....you can download songs using Spotify premium? Game changer.

EDIT: Eh, looks like you can download them, but you still have to listen through the spotify app. Not a fan.

Not sure how many people here like NIN but I went on a mini tour this past week and saw the last 3 shows (Gorillaz was a N1 conflict and I wasn't missing that show). I recorded a fair amount of the shows and am working on getting them uploaded.

Heres the Kings Theater N1 Uploads

Is it a blasphemy to admit I'm only a casual Who fan? I love some of their songs, like Love Reign O'er Me, Behind Blue Eyes and Who Are You, but they're really just a singles band to me.

Same goes for Led Zeppelin, but I've heard much more of their music than The Who. The Rolling Stones, too.

Give me The Beatles, The Doors and Pink Floyd over those others any day.

Oh and I like Ginger Baker's drumming style more than Bonham or Moon's.

John Densmore of The Doors is highly underrated, too.

I agree with most of what you say above. Although I like the Doors the least out of all the bands you mention.

Just for fun, I will tier my rankings of the bands you mention

Beatles
Floyd

Zeppelin

Who
Stones

Doors

Yeah, I get The Doors dislike. A friend summed up their sound perfectly, at least for casual fans, as circus music. Still, they're a favourite of mine. There's no other band that sounds like them.

The Doors? Jim Morrison? He's a drunken buffoon posing as a poet. Give me The Guess Who. They got the courage to be drunken buffoons, which makes them poetic.

While we're at it, 2 bands that I can do entirely without (and, invariably, every time I'm enjoying a classic rock station, they will quickly get played to ruin it for me ) are U2 and The Pretenders.

Love The Guess Who. But I also think they were a better singles band than an album band.

Philip Seymour Hoffman...

Odd that Hoffman played Lester Bangs, a guy who died of a similar cause.

This one gets a mighty disagree from me. I celebrate their entire catalogue!
