I really wish Jeff would play like this over the top of proudest monkey in 2021. That sounded really good.

Also makes you wonder if Jeff is really just playing covers and not trying to continue to innovate the songs. Probably definitely right?

I don't remember what interview I was reading/listening to, but I got the impression Jeff saw his role with DMB as more of a hired gun. His job is to come in and play songs. He has side projects and other outlets for his creativity that he doesn't need DMB for that. Obviously Jeff didn't bluntly say it, but it was the impression that I got.

Sure he gives input here and there and is creative in the studio, but mostly he is there to go with the flow and if Dave wants to do something he isn't going to complain. I would not be surprised if Jeff's opinion on setlists from night to night is that he has no opinion and will play whatever Dave wants to play.

What Jeff is doing there with the LAWNMOWER is beautiful. Should be doing that every PM.

Here’s a video of the 2009 performance. It’s awesome. Honesty if someone played that and told me that was June of 2008 with Roi I would believe them.
