The Busted Stuff version is one of my favorite DMB studio tracks. Great track.

If I’m not mistaken, the verse was removed for a late night performance to shorten the song for the show and then from the msg run after that, it was gone for good...until pandemic.

Officially fixed version of the entire interview and performance (sounds cleaner and better than any of the fixes here):

Can somebody rip this one? Would love to have this proper audio too.

dmb posted about the messed up audio on instagram in a pretty funny post with Dave. Interestingly they hashtagged the post #thirdverse

Looked into it. Looks like everything is encrypted. Will keep looking/trying.

Edit: Yeah, I can't grab it unfortunately The way I've grabbed streams in the past (like the Verzion/Yahoo streams from a little while back) aren't working here.

If you don't mind, how did you end up grabbing it? I couldn't download the decrypted .ts files.

That is pretty cool/funny thing for them to do with such a horrid track record

Iíll have to look on my computer, on iPad now.
The place I typically use didnít work either so then I tried a back up that I used to use which stopped recently and that actually worked.

How do you typically do it?
Another taper/poster here uses ffmpeg but I have not learned that yet.
That worked on the original, not sure on the fixed

totally agree. makes me go back to that Summer tour in 2000 to rekindle the love I had for Grey Street. Leroi is such an important part of the song (as is the 12 string obviously). what a time back then...

It is such a great song, and I absolutely love it. Hearing him play it solo brings the song back to what it was originally and the true song. It just seems completely different in 3.0 and almost not the same song.

The removal of the 3rd verse was always really baffling, it is very good lyrically IMO.

When did he stop playing the A/C# at the end of the chorus? Looks like he just plays the A now.
