Why waste 1 billion on propping up a dying industry? That could go towards solar/wind/battery storage. Don't tell me society couldn't switch to renewables quickly if we wanted to...

Not sure unless you are a friend or family member....he has always said Twitter is for fun and so it seems he likes to get his frustration out on that platform.

But here are some ideas as to why the tweets:

1) He's upset about how the closure in CA is going on....tweets graphs with data

2) The company and stock are/were about to hit a certain milestone in his compensation package and there are some rumors that people think he is just trying reopen for that, so that's why he tweets he doesn't care about the money....because he doesn't

3) stock evaluation tweet - he might have tweeted this due to the continual rise in the stock even though the factory is closed. Meaning the value does not match the production and Q2 will be worse than those think....he has also said the stock is overvalued several times in the past:

Oct. 2013: "The stock price that we have is more than we have any right to deserve"

Sept. 2014: "I think our stock price is kind of high right now to be totally honest"

July 2017: "I’ve gone on the record several times that the stock price is higher than we have the right to deserve and that’s for sure true based on where we are today"

May 2020: "Tesla stock price is too high imo"

The stupidest baby name I've ever seen. Means something to them and maybe one day their child will accept it. But it's still ridiculously pretentious.

Cool brah.

I don't care about his personal life, I created this thread to post about the transition to a renewable energy world...let's keep it that way.

Seriously. I do admire what he’s trying to do for the world, but he seems rather strange outside of work/on twitter/etc. That kid is gonna grow up to hate its name seems almost cruel.

Guy is obviously smart. But some people really embellish it. A couple of years ago I had a manager that said if Elon Musk was the head of NASA we'd already be sending people to other galaxies

So do you remember me talking about Tesla's vision with a VPP (Virtual Power Plant)? Here is the link to the slides I posted on 10.12.16 for a refresher:

[Only registered users can see links.]

Well, Tesla has now built their own software to manage real time information for these batteries. Taken from their website:

Autobidder provides independent power producers, utilities and capital partners the ability to autonomously monetize battery assets. Autobidder is a real-time trading and control platform that provides value-based asset management and portfolio optimization, enabling owners and operators to configure operational strategies that maximize revenue according to their business objectives and risk preferences.
Here is an in-depth 42 minute presentation on how they configure the software and hardware systems to work so well together.
