One of my favorite songs, but I am not sure how it would sound.

Crazy Mary is the only one that i think really fits them. technically PJ didn't write it, but it's basically become theirs.

Crazy Mary would be fun. How about Nothingman as well?

the problem is i can't really hear anyone else's voice singing most PJ songs. they're written with ed's style in mind, and i really don't want to hear dave try and copy it. crazy mary only would work because it was written by someone else and i can actually picture dave singing it, especially the chorus.

I can hear Elderly Woman...maybe as a Dave solo as opposed to a band thing.

i think it's ed's style of drawing out all the notes that make it a challenge for me to hear dave's voice singing those songs.

that, and i try to block out Elderly Woman from my brain.

it's certainly not their worst, but it's their Satellite to me. just beaten into a pulp over the years from overplaying live, on the radio, etc. . it doesn't help that i was never crazy about it to begin with. the "1-2-3-4-2-3..." countdown makes me shudder. i know it's beloved so clearly i'm the odd one out on this one

but don't get me wrong, if dave covered it i would have an erection.

It's popular and played a lot, but I still think it's one of the best songs to hear at a PJ show. Always an incredible sing-along concert experience.

I think there was a similar thread to this in which I posted this:

This one is super random but I could see Dave having a blast singing it and Carter would tear it the fuck up.

Would need some keys but Im sure Tim could come up with something.

Both are definitely not very likely but they sure as shit would be a lot of fun.

you can't do Love Shack without female backup singers, and that's not a trade i'm willing to make.
