Honestly, if they had to choose a 2016 show, this was the best option setlist wise IMO.
I took a look around the tour and everything else looks pretty awful. See, I don't really care that they didn't play any of the 2016 songs at this show. I really like Samurai Cop, but that's really the only song I like from the 2016 songs. Bismarck is just ok IMO and Bob Law is terrible. God, I hate that song and it kills the vibe at shows. |

I listened to this today. Dave’s voice is pretty shot, the setlist is fantastic, but it’s still not the sound I prefer.

The Cville version is really all you need. They never topped it.

I remember some good versions mid-summer as well. Just a good song though, all around! Wish we were getting a version on the bonus disc! |

Every other version I heard was slower, and Dave’s voice was worse. They also changed the ending a bunch of times, seemed like it was different (and more abrupt) each time.

Whatever version of the ending they played at Virginia Beach was nice, but agreed the song never got any better

Didn't Dave's voice get worse on it through as the summer progressed? |

^ This. It just kept getting worse as the summer progressed. It never had the same feel like it did at Cville. I saw it live a few times and the Cville one was the best. I really liked the song initially, but it didn't stand up for me. After a handful of listens, I realized it wasn't really that good. I haven't listened to it at all since my last DMB show at SPAC '16, nor do I really have any interest in replaying it. I do think it's a song that could sound pretty good in the studio though if produced right and if Dave's voice is on point.

I’ve replayed the Cville version dozens of times. And I’ve pretended every other version I’ve heard didn’t happen.

Is this what a standard ODH is now full band? I'll be honest I usually run to the bathroom and never listen to the song at shows. I like what Jeff was doing and it made it more interesting.
We need this Jeff at all shows with Rashawn relegated to back up singer full time.
