Some other shows that I could see getting that treatment are:

09.27.94 ( We have a great SBD of it already, but a LT would be a phenomenal upgrade, and even a mixed DMBLive could be better. Though would be kind of lame considering we have 3 tracks from the show already released via WH discs)

02.14+15.95 (with the RSO). Everyone wants these, this one is a no brainer.

03.23.93 (Another really special show and iconic, Gresiar's last show with the band, the infamous Big League Chew. Another show that has a SBD but I would not complain with a LT upgrade, especially if it's multitrack and sounds anything like LT39).
I didn't mean to imply you should be looking for a major iconic show for #100, just that the milestone will be acknowledged. Hopefully we get another iconic one this year after the MSG release.

As far as shows you have here, I think there's a dropout in the widespread 9.27.94 tape right like a lot of 1994s? That segment is almost always missing from the masters. They didn't upgrade to longer DATs than two hours for a long time. Maybe they went to Costco before the tour and they decided to kill the set break and didn't want to waste DATs. You can read on the Minarets lists about it, and even people willing to bring Bagby a 90M DAT. Only he could probably say why they didn't change earlier.

Tapers can jump in with more information here, but my understanding is that when people patched from the master DAT, if the master DAT ran out of tape, the machine stops. Meaning no more sound to the patch, but the patch keeps recording silence. So when the band stopped having set breaks in 1994, around the 2 hour mark in the master DAT (depending on when they hit record), there can be a dropout in the taper patch the length that it took whoever was monitoring to change tapes and hit record again. Sometimes they noticed between songs and switched, sometimes they didn't and the tape ran out mid-song. So these sbd tapes like 9.27, 8.12, 8.11 maybe, that have dropouts around that two hour mark are likely not releasable. So what they do is take select songs and throw on the WH disc. Obviously this isn't the case for all shows with multiple releases, but it is for some. The band made a big deal about recording 11.11.92 as their first multi-track recording, so all show they were watching the tape lengths, and they performed to the tape. So they had a clean, fully recorded show which they can now release. My understanding is that 11.24.92 was an impromptu setup and recording, the band did not play to tape changes that night and there are gaps in the show, so not releasable, but we got People People and I'll bet we see something else from it in the future.

I know nothing about the RSO shows officially.

They have the exact tape that we do for Big League Chew. Not even the flat source that gets used for DMBlive. They don't have a master of it.

All of that information makes me sad.

But thanks for sharing. I knew that stuff about the 94 masters, but I had completely forgotten about it.

Hoping they still give us the 7.27.04 show as it was heavily rumored to be LT 41. I don't normally put too much stock in "rumors" but from what I heard, the same person that predicted this, had also correctly predicted 39 and 40.

That's such a good show. When looking at the set, all your eyes can see at first is I Did It and Everyday sandwiching Hello Again near the top of the set. But looking through it song-by-song, only Captain of the tour, all 5 new songs, the only time they've done something like bookending a show and the tape is not on the level of the other shows of the tour. This as a LT would get a lot of play from me. While not my #1 from the tour, top 5 easy, maybe top 3.

For #100 I'd love if they put out a stadium show from the height of DMB's popularity. Any July 2000 stadium show from 7/8-16, Giants stadium or Foxboro 1999, even Giants '01. Or above all else - put out all three the May '95 Grateful Dead openers.

Yes, it is deceiving at first. But an amazing show nonetheless. And for selfish reasons, I'd love to finally get a show released that I attended.

Hershey 04 is the one I'd vote for all day long. But really, anything from 04 will deliver. God, I loved that fucking tour.

I was legit excited as that would've been my first ever released show.

7/7/04 is what I want for personal reasons, though it is a great, underrated '04 show and we somehow have made it this far without a single Mansfield release.

7/7/04 is the very definition of underrated. It would make a great release.

The only tape we have is subpar quality compared to tapes from the time as well. Could definitely use an upgrade. 7/7/04 is easily in the top 5 shows I attended, possibly top 3. This show is a prime example of "good setflow" and "good energy" in the real sense of those terms. I'm sure Everyday/Stay doesn't look like an attractive way to close a set but listen to it and then tell me it's not. That's the best Stay I've ever heard, either live or on tape.

That most of this thread is about other shows pretty much tells me what I need to know about this release.

To be fair, just about every LT announcement thread is full of people saying what they would rather have.

I can't believe I said I'll never order anything from the WH again and then they announce this the next morning.
