it's scary that had I not been afraid of being right, I would've typed something like "I think soups said it after the 6/23 show"

It was you, I remember. There was a Boyd thread you topped on the Bridge after one of the June '03 shows. Then you made a new thread, and then another, and another, all within like 2 hours after the show. And someone, I swear to god this happened, actually said it wasn't Boyd's fault that it was the humidity and it had to do with "the doppler effect".

Relistening to Eyes of the World after a few years. This might just be Boyd's nicest solo ever. Really good job here. The rendition also makes me miss Roi even more. What a soulful performance from him. Too bad Dave is the weak link here.

If you want a similar solo from Boyd, check out Cry Freedom 10/15/94

Boyd was just so on his game from '93 -'95

Don't know what happened

It's funny that his best year was 1995 and then from 1996 to now he's been the most inconsistent member of this band with not even just nights where's not good, but entire tours where's just so terrible.

1995 was unquestionably his best year. My favorite year of the band's by a mile and I don't think it's any coincidence

which one? because the Europe 09 versions of SMLAM were the ones that prompted me to write about how distracting it is to listen to those performances on headphones... the rest of the band is rhythmically precise on that tune, and then there's boyd on the left speaker trying to play catchup
