I had pretty much the same reaction. Such a strange detail to include, especially when it really just raises more questions.

when I read that email quickly, I was thinking the 3rd was a few days ago, didn't even realize it was last month.

Not that hard to answer the questions even just assuming though.

They put a few items in every package, they come from different sources and they aren't always ready on the same time. Maybe hit a delay on the paper for the disc printing, which takes the longest for some reason. They got all the packages together even down to where they printed shipping, so as soon as everything was ready, all they had to do was plop in the item, seal it and send it out.

Probably figured it was worth putting that line in the e-mail than having people think their mail was lost for 6 weeks.

Too good.

I guess that's a fair explanation though.

I will try to this weekend. In the meantime, the tapes from those shows (especially the first one) are SBD quality recordings. Definitely worth a download!

Dear Warehouse Member,

We are excited to inform you that the much anticipated Warehouse 2016 Member Packages will begin shipping today. Shipping all packages will take roughly 7 business days. The shipping labels were printed on May 3rd. Please, keep an eye out for this special gift and be aware that it is shipped via USPS without tracking. If your ship address changed after the ship label printed, please communicate with the USPS station of the previous address to ensure the package is not lost, returned or received by someone other than you.

Thank you for your continued patience. Meanwhile, please visit our 3/24 news post to download the two phenomenal band photos available in both color & b/w and view the 2016 Warehouse CD track listing.

CHEERS!

Yup, entirely for the tickets. Couldn't care less about the package. Make the CD a digital download for god's sake and stop sending out crap.

It's only 35 bucks, and I still get super excited for this CD every year.

And also for the admittedly ridiculous reason that I enjoy telling people that I'm a December '98 Warehouse member.

And also for the slight chance that at some point in the future us old time members get something sweeeeeet.

Oh, and for the tickets.

"Okay, Mr... Blumathu. We've got your resume here. Is there anything else about yourself you'd like to share with us?"

"DMBF22103. 12. 6. 98."

Waiting for the day when they finally shit in a box, stamp a firedancer on it, and send it to you fools seven months late knowing there's nothing that'll make you give up that Dec '98 status.
