Is there a reason that when I follow the link or go to the store on my own the show isn't there? Can anyone help me figure this out?

It's on the front page of both the DMB website and warehouse website.

Eh, I wish we had gotten a release from a underappreciated year, but there's no complaining with a '95 show. I really want a '91 (if they have one) '97 or '00--years that have very little releases. I realize DMBlive is for shows that had issues or that don't circulate so I guess most of these are going to be pre-'00 shows. But would be cool to get a more recent one too that may have had some problems..or a random Dave Solo one-off like Farmaid '01. '02 or '06 or something. I'm looking for unique shows at this point. As good as '95 is, we have like 8 shows from that year already with the same songs on them. How about the D+F 02.04.06 Cruise show? How about the '97 Rolling Stone Openers? How about 12.16.96 (a full Dave, Tim AND Stefan show). There's some cool stuff out there that would peak my interest.

Yeah. At this rate we'll get 4 more selections in the next 7 years. Picks that were selected because there is no audience tape circulating. Yay???

This shouldn't have been a difficult thing to keep up with on some sort of regular basis.

was it really only one? The France show?

I wonder what their costs are to have someone convert these and create the various file formats. I can't imagine it's more than a 5 or 6 hour project, per show, since these are known as pre-multi-track recordings.

Lets say you pay someone $40/hr and each release takes them 5 hours to convert and prep for sale. You sell less than 20 copies and you are starting to make a profit. I can't imagine sales are so poor that we're talking only a couple hundred copies sold.

I think they could release 1 show per month and it might end up selling MORE copies because people would be more excited about "DMBlive" again.

I suppose it's possible there just aren't that many shows in good enough condition to release, but people still go nuts over an ALD or IEM recording which has plenty of blemishes. I'm betting people would buy these, warts and all, if it meant getting more "high demand" shows.

Compilations could also be cool. LiveOAR does something like this where one of the band members picks out like a 2 disc set of favorite performances every few months and it goes up for sale. They could do a survey like the one for the upcoming Warehouse CD maybe twice a year to create a "DMBlive" compilation release twice a year too.

Lots of potential for the "brand" they've created, and we have gotten some real gems from this series. Just wish we knew when we could expect them, like we do with Live Trax coming 4 times a year.

Nice idea, but I'd be surprised if any of them, aside from Stefan or Rashawn would care/remember particular performances worth putting out as a compilation.

The fan survey, to me, with this band is the only way to go with these.

I'm sure each member has a few favorite shows list in their minds. Maybe some of them have been released already.

Yeah -- I don't suggest that it HAS to be something a band member picks. It could be something the road crew remembers and suggests, some of it could be fan submissions, plus, if they started doing it maybe they would be more attentive to a great performance and say hey, we should remember this one to release down the road.

I think we can all agree, DMB Live 25 was one of the best releases we've ever gotten. There was something on there for EVERYONE, in my opinion.

They could (and sort of already do with the "Warm Up" videos) release 15 or 20 highlights from that year and people would eat it up. Especially if there was an opportunity for fan voting.
