He actually tossed a pair of gloves to a girl on someone's shoulders. I think he signed them before the toss too.

Then again maybe he gives them to family.
On the note do they live in wpb area? It seems like they are at those shows when it is mentioned vs others
Most of them travel to WPB and stay with them at The Breakers Resort. It's like the vacation destination for visiting the band on tour when afterwards they have a month off. Last year when Adam and I went we saw Ashley and all of Dave's kids there, including one or two of his daughter's friends. Also I think some of Rashawn's family was there as well in the pit because Carter acknowledged them during the acoustic set. The reason we couldn't watch the show from stage left is because it was reserved for friends and family of the band. And it was pretty full from what I saw.

About the sticks. It's likely he kept the ones he played with to give them to a friend or relative sidestage/backstage.

What was the consensus of the WPB shows? Worth checking out?

Most poster here will probably tell you they are not worth checking out. Not the best sets this year but IMO they aren't terrible. I might listen to them eventually.

and the fact I'm not seeing DMB this summer kicked in tonight, as Facebook hit me with my 'on this day memories'.

So I figured I'd leave this here, never really seen Boyd go this route with his Ants solo!

Oddly enough, this exact moment was the time it was being played as well.
