What Up RageATL?

You alright? Long time no post. Your Jet fandom finally do you in? Leg day kicking your ass? Want to make sure you're just chillin' & grillin' in your FJ and still kicking ass.

Wow, this thread just warmed my old, cold heart. Much obliged for reaching out Jack and fellas, I truly appreciate it.

Yeah man, everything's definitely alright for sure! After this past summer's tour (my 20th straight year attending shows), I kinda decided to close the book on DMB. They're definitely one of my favorite bands of all-time and I'll probably always keep track of what they're doing studio album-wise in the future (if they do anything at all), but I just don't have the desire or energy to keep up with them the way I used to. It's clear they're winding down, so I figured it was time I did so as well. Unfortunately with me, when it comes time to move on from things that meant something to me at some point in my life, I tend to rip off the Band-Aid in one fell swoop and not look back. That's probably part of the reason I just haven't been around the site much at all despite enjoying this side of the boards with you jokers far more than the other (DMB-related) side.

As far as the Jets, fuck them. No seriously, FUCK THEM. I had a bad feeling coming into the season and all my fears (and a whole lot more) were realized, many in front of a national TV audience. With the Monday Night Massacre to Arizona in full swing, I got up from my chair, walked into the kitchen, slugged two heaping shots of vodka back to back, grabbed several cardboard boxes from the garage and began gathering/packing up all of my NYJ memorabilia in boxes without saying a single word to my lady or my buddy. According to them, it was quite the sight. I then proceeded to hate Tweet the NYJ with pictures of everything boxed up, asking them for their address so I could ship all their worthless shit back to them. I wait all year for football season and yet it was only week 6 and the season was already over.

So, with all of that extra free time on my hands, I decided to kinda delve back into my passion for home theater (and gaming to a lesser extent). I started hitting the Bluray.com boards quite a bit and ended up buying a new 4K TV along with a new 4K UHD universal player and began enjoying movies and music again. It's been fun to actively listen to music again in my dark, man cave sipping on a nice Pinot Noir or some quality bourbon.

Let's see, what else? I've been with my lady going on 5 years now and I'm not getting any younger so with my prior divorce officially behind me for good, I figured 2017 was a good year to seriously consider getting engaged. I'm not remotely there yet, but I've started thinking about it more and more so I guess I'm in the planning stages of that.

Other than that, I've just been continuing to listen to and explore new music, attend live shows of all kinds and travel a bunch trying to see as much of this beautiful country of ours as I can. Oh yeah, and trying to save some money in the process (good fucking luck).

That's pretty much everything at a real high level! I hope everyone's doing well and I promise to not be a stranger.

My apologies for the lengthy, drawn out post, haha.

Life is good, fellas. Our cups runneth over, so drink up!

It could be worse, you could be a 49er fan, like me.

Meh. The "all is well" post is kinda anti-climactic. Would of been more intriguing if we never heard from you again.

Although I like the part about you shipping all your Jets merch back to them awful season, we have like 6 QB's yet zero.

Is it really worse? Jed York and Woody Johnson are like the LSC rejects swimming into the glass 50 years apart.

Glad you're doing well, but kind of was hoping you had been interned

The Jets did have three more wins this season than the 49ers. So there is that. Haven't followed the Jets too much, but are they about to hire their third coach in three years? Did the Jets also fire their Head Coach after appearing in a Super Bowl?

Sorry, didn't mean to disappoint you.

Yep, I packed it in very early, Sundays were WAY less stressful from that point on.

I dunno bro, we've won one, ONE Super Bowl in franchise history and that was in 1969, 4 years before I was on this Earth. I'm convinced I'll never witness a NYJ SB win.

Keep the hope alive bro!!! If the Cubs can win a World Series after a long drought, the Jets can win another Super Bowl. Their time will come, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Haha, thanks man. I've been an extremely loyal fan for a LONG time, through all the public blunders and such, but man am I starting to lose patience.
