Poll: Which Tours (months) are Worthy of a Box Set

I haven't narrowed it down much, but this was the list of tours most suggested in the previous thread.

Pick one, and lets see which dmb tour (month in some cases) this board thinks is most worthy of being released in its entirety.

Not sure how it'd work with licensing and all that, but give me that box set of the Vote for Change 2004 shows.

Should've been able to pick multiple options.

That defeats the whole point. We are trying to pick just one!

It will be very interesting to see how this one turns out.

In my opinion, it has to be one with BFFT attached, so Winter '96, June '97, Fall '98, and September '00. For me, I break it down like this:

- Winter 1996: The first time BFFT guested with DMB at shows. It was a prettty cool run because BFFT members were slowly being added in as guest spots as the shows progressed, capped off with the full band NYE run. That's pretty cool.

- June 1997: The BFFT guest sports were amped up even further the following year/tour. Those June shows were so delightful and the guest spots were incredible. There wasn't a bad show that entire month.

- Fall 1998: Take the BFFT guest spots and then add Tim Reynolds and Butch Taylor into the fold. This tour is legendary, so not much more needs to be said about it.

- September 2000: While not having Tim Reynolds attached to the shows, you have BFFT, the LWS songs, and the band arguably the best they have ever been (both musically and vocally). Awesome month.

All of these options are solid, so it's just a matter of preference I guess. Everyone is a winner.

Going with the Fall 98 tour. You get much more with that option because technically it's October to December and the rest are just mostly one month.

Waiting for the heavy hitters to weigh in on this but the results are pretty much as expected so far.

Can’t go wrong with any of these this was really hard. At the end of the day though Fall 98 has so many damn good shows night after night that it gets my vote. But if any of these tours got released I’d be Estatic. Probably wouldn’t listen to anything but DMb for months.

Hypothetically, if they did release a box set like this one day, would they master and mix every show, or just give us the SBDs?

I cant really pick. I ended up choosing 93 in the hope that newer fans might check those shows out

Three great BFFT shows in Spring 2002 also (Canadian leg) but not enough to lift it into competing with the other legs.

Fall '98 please.

Summer 2000 was special. I remember getting b&ps of those first early shows and being amazed at the new songs. Then throughout the entire summer the development of the songs was magical.

Love this thread idea. I am partial to the summers of 98-02. (With 01 being an exception b/c of the Vegas shows I hit were fire, imo)

So although September 2000 gave 98 a run for its money, it looks like Fall 98 is still the one tour most of us want to hear every show from.

Hard to argue thats not DMB at their absolute peak.
