Why isn't everyone saying June 2000?

I'd say the first two weeks of that tour (June 19th to July 3rd). It mixes ampitheatre shows with a couple stadiums. It has all of the 2000 song debuts and their early evolution.

I really didn’t want to go there but: fuck these people. Nurses make $100k/year with full benefits. I don’t feel sorry for them at all that they might catch a flu that’s not going to do anything to them. Such a stupid opportunity that they’re fully exploiting to jerk themselves off.

BT sucked hard on many of the June 2000 shows, see Deer Creek

Prime Example right around the minute mark:

My list would look something like:

September 2000
Fall 1998
June 2008
VFC 2004
Spring 2002
June 1997
August 1995
September 2003

I probably put June 1997 and August 1995 lower than most, but diversity of set list is the major factor.

Love all the choices everyone picked and I'll second Sept '03 for sure.

Some ones I Personally would love to see, that often go underrated:

May '99
June '01
Oct '04
June '08
July '16 (If I had to pick 3.0, I'd go here, some really nice shows here, especially SPAC and NH).

I personally preferred when the new songs got a little tighter and the playing was overall better as the tour progressed. Why take June when you could release Sept?

Because the songs were changing so much more night to night.

It’ll happen. Tour Box sets may not be released until after they’re done touring but the money machine isn’t going to stop once dmb is done playing.

I’d throw July 2008 in there as well.

Agreed, Jeff learning to play with DMB. Also, this is one of my favorites to listen to: [Only registered users can see links.]

The RR95 start is so good, first time since August, 1995 and only done three times after (Greek 08 and Hartford & Jones Beach 13)

I'd add the D&T tours from '96 or '99 to the list. Hell, even '97 would be cool too.

One of my favourite months in their history. That first Grey Street and Bartender still get me to this day.
