Funny I thought he has been one of their better guests. I loved all his spots.

Aside from the novelty of having an album played in full, it doesn't seem like a great show. There are much better sets from that year.

Boyd was rock bottom 2014 and 2015. But 2012 was bad as well.

I haven’t listened to either, but Alpine N1 looks better than N3 to me. Deer Creek N2 looks nice too.

I agree. For instance, 7/14/12 looks more diverse.

I was there. Top 1-2 most boring dmb shows Iíve seen out of 100+. A snoozer. The only redeeming quality is that it was cool to see them play the whole thing practically in order.

It stunk man. It's just a boring album live. And they played the whole thing. The only new song I remember loving was Broken Things out of the gate. It's just a great tune, (although the lack of jam is a huge lost opportunity). Should have been a Rapunzel type jammed out tune.

Interesting to hear people dislike 2012. That was definitely a low point in my fandom along with 2013 (for other reasons). I enjoyed my shows and was lucky to see the Mansfield jam which I think is the best thing to come out of the year but the album didn’t really do much for me and I had very little interest in what they were doing that year. The shows I saw in the fall were fine but totally unmemorable.

Only went to one show in '12 (Camden)..The Riff debut show..and I remember thinking that the song was really boring and lame at the time. I actually think the album is better than the songs are live, which is probably the only DMB album I can say that for. They just simply don't translate well. And the ones that do are just bottom tier (Rooftop, BBN, etc.) Snow Outside is great, but also pretty boring live..and they never play Broken Things.

Didn't think the performances that night were so great either.
Yep, this.

I really liked one of my shows in 2012 and absolutely hated the other one. Overall, just a forgettable tour that Iíve never really had any desire to revisit.

2011-2013 is kind of a blur for me, DMB-wise. Not in a bad way though. In those years, it felt like they played a massive chunk of their catalogue and brought lots of old stuff back. Lots of Halloween too. And sets balanced the albums very well. BW wasn’t as constant anymore, and AFTW never got beaten into the ground.
Those felt like nicely comfortable years to be a fan, in between two years of overplayed BW stuff, and two years of uneven 2-set sets (where Boyd was somewhat terrible).

I'd like them to release a show that I went to. But in this case Dave totally screwed up "Eh Hee" in Louisville so i really don't need that.

That fall tour was BRUTAL. Long shows too. Man, they were boring.

Also SPAC N2 2012 was easily the worst SPAC show ive ever seen. It was a complete waste of time. The N1 that year was the better setlist, but N2 brought literally nothing.

The album dropped in September right before the end or right after the end of the summer tour. Minus the album release, 2012 was not a boring tour as I've read above. 2012 was one of the most energetic tours where everyone [even Boyd] seemed refueled. I just listened to the Atlanta show the other day and just was swept away by everyone's playing and playfulness. Dave does some random transition over Carter drumming Eh Hee before going full into it after GiG. The show wasn't just running through the motions....it was very interactive and Dave is having fun and chatty....2012 was [imo] the last great tour.

Saw a few shows in '12. Both Mansfield shows were fun and I had a great time. I still remember being thrilled to catch EWU, Whiter Shade of Pale, a 41---> Say Bye, Halloween---> Billies, tour debut of Minarets into a solid Seek Up. An early set YNK, and while I don't think it's a great song, I found an odd appreciation for Seven in a live setting. I haven't listened to enough 2012 performances to pick one that deserves a release.
