Live Trax 52 - June 06, 2014 | Darling's Waterfront Pavilion, Bangor, ME (07.31.20)

On June 6, 2014, Dave Matthews Band returned to the state of Maine for the first time since 1997. With an acoustic set to open the show, fans got a taste of classic DMB tunes in stripped down arrangements. An intimate Oh and Bartender kick off the evening with Dave and Tim. By the end of set 1 it’s all hands on deck for an acoustically joyful Tripping Billies, gearing the crowd up for the electric second set. This show from the Summer of 2014 touches upon all eras of the DMB catalog from the radio hit, Crush, to the hard hitting Drive In, Drive Out.

This item is available for pre-order and will ship on or around July 29. Downloads will be available on July 31.

That's awesome for Maine to get a release. Were the performances good?

Guess it needs its own thread. Not the best written blurb. there Actually the first DMB show in Maine since 10/11/1996 (D&T played 1/29/97), Ants is misspelled, and (as thrawn pointed out) their comment about touching upon all eras includes only two songs, related on consecutive albums two years apart.

I will still buy this though, because I was there and it is my home state. It is actually perfectly tailored to me, oddly.

It was fine, certainly not release worthy, IMHO. I was a big fan of the two sets, so I really liked that. Opening the acoustic set with Oh, Bartender, and then the main set with OSW definitely set the tone for the type of show we would get.

I'll definitely check out this release as well. I really enjoyed the two set format during those two years.

Remember when they would email the announcement of these and there would be a dmblive announcement as well? That was cool. they need to bring that back. They need to bring that series back in times like these. Not being greedy though as the announcement included a free webcast.

Also, I normally hate dmb merch, but this shirt is a buy for me. Well done. Though I do think it is odd they are reprinting the poster from that night.

100% agreed. DMBLive has definitely been neglected. Wasn't the last one released in 2018?

This looks like one of the lamest sets they’ve ever released.

If "I'll Back You Up" was replaced with "Here On Out", it would have been a much stronger acoustic set.

A strange pick. Oh and BW > Warehouse are already released. Recently is truncated.

Would have loved a show with an acoustic set Snow Outside, Slip Slidin Away, Sugar Man, Loving Wings, or something along those lines.

Check out the "Unpopular Opinion" thread. Go back like a week or so and you will find the joke there. It's a "deep cut" joke, so my bad.

This one is a pass for me. I actually liked the 2 set shows, but this is not a very strong acoustic set IMO.

Woof that main set is straight crap. Acoustic set looks nice, but that Recently doesn't even have a jam. Out of all those 2 set shows, SO many other ones are better.

Best song on this should be WWYS. Smoked the acoustic sets.

I'm fine with it. Nice to have another acoustic set. Agreed on those WWYS that year.
