If you’re looking for the big pop bangers you’ll be disappointed but this record is definitely the most musically interesting thing I’ve heard from her. Enjoying it

I’m not a fan of Pop music, generally speaking, but I’ve also never been much of a fan of Swift’s songwriting or her voice and delivery, beyond just the style of the music. I’m still not big on most of her lyrics, although there are some really good lyrics on this one. But I’m actually enjoying her singing on this album. Everything about folklore is a surprise.

My 10 year old daughter is a Swiftie, because I think 10 year old girls have to be, and when I told her that I liked the new album, she stopped dead with her mouth hanging open.

RIP to the great Peter Green of the original lineup of Fleetwood Mac. One of the greatest guitar players to ever touch the instrument.

You can hear The National’s influence all over this album, her work with Dessner is great. It’s a very mature album from her, very impressed so far.

There were definitely a couple of places where I thought, “If Matt Berninger was singing this, it would be a really good National song.”

Tomorrow afternoon I'll be watching Hawksley Workman's latest live stream show. If anyone around here has enjoyed the stuff of his I've posted over the years I highly recommend giving this a watch. The price of a ticket is very reasonable for 75-90 minutes worth of content.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Hawksley Night in Canada show today. Great little set of hits and rarities. 85 minutes with some intercut segments, including a phone-in part.

His latest pet song is my favourite so far:

I donít have a problem with the artist choosing to change the lyrics for his cover. Thatís his call as a performer.

But the notion that the song is racist is bullshit.
