I'm so glad this show is back. I watched a couple episodes over Thanksgiving and they are still just as funny as they were in the 90s...maybe even funnier now.

the wit is definitely a bit sharper now, and it was already smarter than it was given credit for.

oh man. all time classic tonight.

Beavis has always been my favorite, but Butt Head has been on fire since the return.

Beavis' reaction to Deena was amazing though

Catching up on this on DVR -- screw Mike Judge for making me watch even a second of "The Human Centipede."

While I'm really enjoying seeing B&B again, it's actually got me missing King of the Hill way more. It's only been two years since the show ended and I can already see that it will be entirely removed from public consciousness within no more than a year (if it isn't already). This year alone I noticed it vanish from syndication entirely, on multiple channels. Just kind of makes me sad. It was such a rich show, and there aren't even any DVDs of it past season 6 (and there are a slew of great episodes all the way through the end of the series). In an era when so many comedies are going for shock value and obvious jokes, I always used to depend on KOTH for something a bit more grounded, real and mature, while still being legitimately funny and entertaining.

the entire thing is on netflix.

king of the hill is a great show, but this isn't making me miss it in the least bit. B&B has been better than it's ever been. it's been fantastic, really

I don't disagree. I'm more into B&B than I've ever been. But KOTH was something I watched and loved for 12 years straight, so when I see this animation style, and similarly voiced characters, I can't help but miss KOTH. It's no knock against B&B at all, just something I've felt. New episodes of KOTH (especially with more involvement from Judge) would be a hugely greater joy for me than more B&B, personally.

I recently noticed I don't watch it regularly anymore because it's not on ANY syndication in my area anymore (which is crazy considering I get like 400 channels). I used to watch reruns all the time. The realization was sad, and the fact that networks have been so quick to ditch it from syndication isn't too impressive. But then again, I've always been impressed by how long the show even ran, considering it clearly wasn't a "hot" show in just about ten years.

KOTH might as well be dead though anyway. Brittany Murphy's death coincided with the series ending, making any future revival feel less likely and desirable.

dude just join the rest of us in 2011 and get netflix.

as far as a revival, deserved or not i don't think it will ever happen simply because the demand isn't there like it was for Futurama or B&B.

if Judge hinted at it, i think mostly it would be met with an "ok cool". brittany murphy's character was basically the least important thing about that show.

but Bobby isn't even in my top 5 characters and that's apparently blasphemy so what do i know. i always wished the show was exclusively about Hank and the gang instead of the increased focus on Bobby as it went along. he's much better in moderation

Well, Luanne became prominent enough again when they introduced Lucky. I enjoyed that character a fair bit to be honest. The Bobby storylines in the first few seasons were great. In the second half of the show's run, they became cheesier and more lesson-oriented it seemed. The show generally got softer as Judge became less involved. But yeah, Hank and the guys are the stars. But I always liked Peggy and Luanne plots too, so I dunno. It's a great ensemble. I also loved how they often created arcs and ongoing storylines - a huge rarity in animated shows.

As for netflix, you have no idea what a piece of shit it is in Canada. Night and day compared to the US. I had it for my free month, saw they had maybe 1% of what the US version offers, and cancelled it before the month even ended.

i feel like i'm in the minority loving Peggy. well, she's annoying (supposed to be) but she cracks me up. agreed about the ongoing storylines. i love that for the most part it could work as a live action show with how down to earth and dry it is.

man i forgot about canada's netflix, that's a bummer man.

Caught up on the last few episodes. I am remembering why this show was my favorite animated comedy.

Just watched the episode where they think they are going to be in a porn, that ending with Beavis was hysterical

Interesting news. I genuinely wonder how this show will work in the ultra-pc world of today, but if South Park can survive then I guess B&B can too.
