How can they turn away? (Cry FreedomC)

Listening to some 2004 versions and I shake my head as to why the band chooses not to play this.

5 times full band since 9/5/04
4 times D&T since 3/27/05

Yes, we can say pose this same question about many songs, but really, if any song needs to be played it's Cry Freedom. Not just because it sounds pretty and I think Coffin could do it justice, but because it has a wonderful message. Like Seek Up, it's one of the most important songs they have to offer.

I'd like to go with the thought that Seek Up goes away as 41 and Jimi gets more plays (considering they're well jammed out now). Then again, I saw all three at Hershey this year.

Seek Up has been played over 50 times since the last full band Cry Freedom. WWYS over 60.

The best version is 12/31/92. And its darn near impossible to capture this song live the way its supposed to sound.

Within the past 2 months, though?

I still think the crowd just isn't into this song at full band shows. Probably better D+T because it's more intimate.

I like this better D&T. Although if it were to replace Sister/Baby Blue in the E1 slot I definitely wouldn't complain.

What Would You Say would be an absolute beast once Coffin got his hands on it and tore into it

Cry Freedom

Only heard it once and it was a special moment for me. Almost don't care if it doesn't get played again because I got that one.

But obviously I'd love to see this one come back, full band with Tim would probably be pretty nice.

There was a list floating around about 5 years ago on the boards. 12/31 CF was on there as "best."

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, but I love the way he sings that part. You can really feel the emotion. He doesn't really capture that in many songs any more.
