This show was pretty absurd an example is that Peter Hook, Courtney Love and Davey Havok all did Love Will Tear Us Apart with the Pumpkins to close the set.

This wasn’t the standard setlist for the tour, it was specifically a 30th Anv. show and it was probably one of the weirdest but coolest shows I’ve seen.

Edit: Looking at some videos from the tour / setlists this show was REALLY weird. The stage setup was completely different, looks like the lighting rig was changed up, there was no video screen behind the band just the usual cameras. In addition to the setlist and structure of the show being changed a lot. I got the Live Debut crap from setlist.fm so I have no idea if its fully correct but that was the setlist I saw for sure. There were also A LOT of cameras there so I wouldn't be surprised if this was going to wind up getting released in some way.

I booked it to the bus once Baby Mine started so I could avoid the crowd. I have videos of a lot of the weird stuff that I'll throw up on youtube. Awesome show. Really glad I went to this one over MSG last night, felt super unique. PNC is rapidly becoming my lucky venue.

So Mark McGrath sang Fly with Smashing Pumpkins? That's the craziest thing I see on the list.

Saw Ben Folds & Cake tonight. Really solid sets even if the 10PM curfew at Forest Hills can suck my dick.

I edited my recording and posted it if anyone is a fan and wants to check it out.

Theres a nelly show in 30 minutes across the street from work. I can hear it from the front door so I guess that's my next show.

Shimmy shimmy co co whaaaat??

I hung PA for a Phillip Phillips (/Gavin DeGraw) show the other day. Guy from American Idol who wants to be Dave Matthews. I was at FOH for soundcheck and was pleasantly surprised to find that some of his music is pretty well done. And they spent a half hour during SC working out a slowed-down and groovy cover of Stayin’ Alive. Haven’t debuted it yet, but it’s pretty killer

I only watched for a few minutes, but yeah Nelly was terrible. Luckily I was technically getting paid to stand out on the street and watch.

How'd you like UM? Listened to some highlight from the show while cleaning this morning. Seemed like a good time.

Iím just starting to get into them more. Iím at the point where I recognize a few songs each show I listen to. I didnít recognize most of the first set, but Miss Tinkles is what I really wanted and that was as awesome I hoped it would be. The venue was beautiful. Never been to a place like it. Second set I recognized more and had a great time. Of all the shows I drag my wife to, I think she likes them the most due to the metal influence at times. Also went totally sober which is somewhat rare for a show like this for me.

Overall a great time, and a quick and easy drive to and from Cincy. Iíll see them any time theyíre close and Iím motivated to get to the point where I recognize the full shows.
