Well, I have been tremendously slacking the past year and gradually put back on a ton of the weight I had worked so hard to lose. Easily one of the worst feelings. But I'm starting to fight back and reupped my gym membership last week. The goal is to hit it 4-5 times per week and once or twice before work each day.

Can't wait for the results.

Do you guys use MyFitnessPal to track your meals? When I want to cut some weight it’s the only way I stay on track. I highly recommend using it if you don’t, it’ll speed up your results by keeping your caloric intake honest and accurate.

Proper diet is your key, but I'm sure you already know that!

I second this. The results of using MFP are undeniable. I went from 305 to 205 in Alittle over a year and logged every day.

The plateaus are real, but definitely worth sticking out. My wife spent about 2 months in a plateau, stuck to it, and has dropped about 35 since we started.

I have the app. The mailing list provides good articles as well.

I hear about Keto a lot lately. I’m gonna read up on it over the weekend. Thanks

I used to use ISOPure a few years back. I really liked that stuff.

More power to you -- I started eating better and doing cardio about 3/4 months ago and have hit the dreaded plateau. Can't seem to break through.

I need to do strength training, but my overriding fear is injuring myself and then not being able to keep up with my gym regiment at all. The last time I tried strength training a few years back, I did a number on my back and I could barely walk (let alone do any serious exercise) for over a month.

I legit take a week off, or rather I'll do a much lighter workload. That way my body can rest with some recovery time.

I've found that getting back into it has led to more productive sessions and as long as the diet is strong, you'll be able to keep the weight off and muscle from dropping during that lighter week.

Yeah plateau is such a fuckin bitch. Had a good game of bball this morning which means I sweated a lot and avoided injury.

Been avoiding the scale this week but I'll check in on Sunday.

You are so right. It is crazy how the brain can get wired to be so unhealthy. Somehow, after living a very balanced and healthy lifestyle, my mind convinced myself that a plate of nachos every day, fruit snacks, frozen pizzas, and Pop-Tarts weren't so bad. Bizarre.

Last two weeks have been good - I've been getting to the gym and eating better. Walking at lunch has been a great way to add in 4,000 steps as well.

I haven't heard any of this yet, but it may help. It's from a while ago, but it's still available for free.
