The TV Thread (Netflix, Networks, Cable, Whatever)

How much of a vain asshole do you have to be to self-nominate?

Game of Thrones stars self-nominate for Emmy Awards [Only registered users can see links.]

even Seth and the folks at Family guy opted to make a satirical slam episode instead.

I hope Julia Garner wipes the floor with those Game of Thrones nobodies.

Halfway through Dead to Me and I really like it.

As far as awards go, I don't know how anyone will beat Laura Dern (Big Little Lies) next year unless it's Meryl Streep. While season 2 wasn't nearly as good as season 1, Renata stole every scene.

Hulu is apparently making a Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy TV show, so fingers crossed there.

For anyone who really liked Stranger Things 3, I recommend the Behind the Scenes podcast. I had to do a lot of driving today and it was perfect for passing the time. There are spoilers so don't listen until you've finished season 3.

There are 3 episodes about a half hour each. It's a mix of interviews with cast and crew and details about all that went into recreating the 80s.

Finale was great.

One of the best first seasons of television I've seen in a while.

The OA has been cancelled. As I said it my June 5th post about it, this show brought more emotion out of me than any other in a long time.

The directing, acting, and music really tears at me emotionally. I can only watch this show at night, in the dark, so I can focus on nothing but what's on the screen.....

A friend sent me a link to Brit's IG post. If you haven't read it, you should. (spoiler: it won't make you feel better) I am so bummed about this.

Damn. I thought season 2 of OA was tremendous. Really wanted to see where they were going to go with Season 3

The last season of Orange is the New Black was pretty good. And I'm enjoying the new season of GLOW

Season 2 of Mindhunter is on Netflix starting today. Great show if you haven't checked it out yet.
