The show tonight on Quatro at Jazz Fest thread

No one really excited for this one after last nights. Not sure what time they go on. Didnít bother looking. Baked. Enjoy your Saturday.

Do the tapers ever get tired of uploading Jimi Thing? Why not mix it up a bit for us? Lame

All things considered, I would have been content with this set. You don't go to Jazz Fest just for DMB. They're just icing on the cake. You're not expecting a full set of songs. And you shouldn't be expecting bust outs, liberations, rarities, etc. The only "extra" expectation I would have is an interesting guest or two. You got that here, albeit the guests were "standard".

I saw them at Jazz Fest in 2013. It was a for a buddy's bachelor party, so I would have been there either way. The DMB set was all bonus, so I approached that show with zero expectation. I would have bobbed my head to Dreamgirl > Angel. Hyperbole. There weren't many DMB fans in our group - and no one else had a preference - so I didn't have to argue that time slot.

Similar setlist, shared about half of the songs. No guests. The rain was miserable and fun at the same time. They cut the show short. No Two Step encore. No obligatory Alligator Pie.... Not that I love the song, but it would have been nice to check it off my list. No guests. It probably didn't help they closed the festival Sunday night and I had a 4:00am flight the next morning, changed in my car at the airport, at work by 9:00...

Glad they're trying Warren on some different songs. The guy's been sitting in with them for 25 years.

Yeah, I'd take this set at Jazz Fest. Urinate in my ears and tell me it's music.

WWYS ASTB is a cool transition. Though ASTB sounds a tad rusty. Glad to see that one back in the mix, always fun when they screw around with that segue. Keeps you on your toes and that is needed these days.
