The fuck? Is it like 20 feet long?

I've been shopping dining room tables, and am working up to buying one of these custom hand-built guys: [Only registered users can see links.]

And even lager sizes than that basically top out at $1000 with seating.

Mario, I bought the base model Gaggia and I LOVE it. I had a few issues with the nozzle that the hot water drips from sticking a bit, but I unscrewed it, scrubbed the regulator thing clean, and put it back in and haven't had any issues since.

What type of coffee do you put in?

I prioritized a machine that used grounds or ESE pods. We just have a $30 cuisinart grinder that works great for french press, but apparently would be a disservice to use for espresso. But I'm not particularly psyched to get involved with the process of grinding my own espresso beans, either, seems pretty damn complicated.

I've gotten so used to drinking the swill that passes for coffee at the courthouse that I'd probably go into shock if I started grinding my own beans and drinking quality stuff.

Don't ever google "How to brew good coffee". Holy shit. This is not an extreme minority I'm talking about here. The overwhelming majority of responses will tell you you need to spend a few thousand dollars on grinders and equipment, then buy your own plain beans and roast them in the oven yourself before immediately grinding them and brewing with them.

Apparently they wake up every morning at 2am in order to have a great cup of coffee at 8am?

This is, no lie, the beginning of the article which is the fourth result on google:

I often go to sleep thinking about the cup of coffee I’m going to have the next morning. I adore it!
That person's article also goes on to explain why you should only brew coffee with bottled spring water.

I bought a pretty nice grinder from Gaggia as well. This is a great grinder because you can store almost a whole bag of beans in it and you have a variety of settings that can be used depending on how fine you want the coffee ground.

I read a lot about how the quality of the grind matters far more than the quality of the machine. As far as which coffee I use, typically I buy the Starbucks or Illy espresso beans. But so far I love the machine, it really makes a great espresso, latte or cappuccino. You really can't go wrong with Gaggia, it's the best of the best when it comes to at-home espresso machines.

A buddy of mine found me a great deal so I finally broke down and bought an iPad Air for football season (Sunday Ticket Max).

Haven't been around in a while. Good thread.

I bought this Anova Precision Cooker on Kickstarter for my wife a while back, estimated for delivery before Christmas, we'll see. Pretty interested to see how it works:

My wife just had our second baby, and we had been having alot of sex before that, and before the baby was born. She just sent me a confirmation email on a fleshlight.

TMI? Maybe, but more likely jealousy, cause my wife is fucking awesome.

Always been a fan of rowing machines, not that I work out a lot, but when I do I feel like that thing is probably the most complete workout you can get on one single platform. Arms, legs, abs, conditioning, etc etc

I just hadn't seen one like that until HoC. If I were to ever have one in the house, I would now only consider one like that of the one you have.
