I still haven't gotten that one, and I have yet to hear anything about it that isn't overwhelmingly positive.

The new Foo Fighters comes out tomorrow for those that like them. I'm stoked, one of my favorite rock bands. I finally got around to listening to the first single "Run" with headphones...there's some nice stuff going on lower in the mix in the background.

RIP Grant Hart of Hüsker Dü. And suddenly I realize that I haven't listened to Zen Arcade in like three years.

Yes, love that song! At one point I was so obsessed with them that my eldest daughter was almost named Margot. I lost a lot of interest in them after the big lineup change that came after the second album though. For me, it was always this song:

Lithium on Sirius XM, a 90's alternative station, is always playing the song Stars by the band Hum. I'd never heard of the song before, which is odd cause I grew up on 90's alternative music. Anyways, here's the song, I love it, enjoy.

Tom Waits shows up at a brewery a week ago to sing a song with Mavis Staples.

According to Wikipedia she releases albums now on the same label Tom has. And she works with Jeff Tweedy a lot. In fact, he wrote songs for an upcoming album of hers set for release in November.

Yeah, he's worked on her last couple of albums. Her more recent stuff is good, but The Staples Singers were just off the charts.

Went to the Outlaw Music Festival at Blossom on Friday. The best set by far was Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real. I picked up their latest album over the weekend and couldn't stop listening to it. It's fantastic.

Also, I didn't realize that he was Willie Nelson's son until he showed up later to play on Willie's set. Duh.

They were also Neil Young's band with his latest tour, which was awesome.

Neil's set at Farm Aid was as good as an hour set one could ask for

Ha. If we go with hologram Roi, we can ditch both Rashawn and Coffin!

I was thinking ditching Mayer for hologram Jerry!!
